Well, every other theme has been done to death. Time to hybridize!

I have a Guard army approaching completion which has fenris-grey / codex grey scheme. Figured it might be an idea to append some light flavor by making them inspired by the fenrisian chapter.

My question to dakka is, what can a guy do to make em nice and wolfy? Both fluff and modelling advice appreciated!

Current ideas:

1. Highly individualized tanks
2. Fur tastles on all the heavy weapons
3. Fur collar coats on officers
4. Chainsword lasguns (some of you might have seen some decent Gears of War mods)
5. Veterans with wolf tooth necklaces
6. Fluff reads as a first regiment whose planet's closeness to fenris means they have picked up some of the warrior culture- partially because they often fight alongside wolfs, and partially because the administratum constantly grinds them against the wolfs!

On many of the heads you can use some of the Space wolf ones with the wild hair and beards. As well perhaps your rough riders ride wolves rather than... whatever it is they normally ride.

Seems like a fun idea...
Maybe the SW freed their world from Xenos some time back when and they view SW as the epitome of what a warrior should be and so try to emulate them...
Or something...
