While toying around with army builder I came up with the following unit

Canoness - Combi-flamer, Eviscerator (dealing with potential walkers)
Command Squad - 3 x flamers
Priests x 4 - power weapon and combi-flamers x 4
Rhino

Comes up to 525 points.

Everything has feel no pain and either 3+ or 4++

high points:
8 potential flamer templates
12 power weapon attacks at ini 5 that re-roll hits followed by 13 normal attacks at ini 4 and finally the eviscerator mopping up at ini 1.
Stubborn and re-rolls failed morale.


Now have to calculate how this squad would fare against thunderwolves or paladins assuming both players know what they're doing.

For less points, I would field Jacobus and 6 DCA and 3 crusaders. You just can not kill as much as this unit can.

You can almost run Kyrinov and Jacobus plus 2 conclaves for the cost of your canoness.

Jacobus plus conclave is 30 int 6 str 4 power weapon attacks rerolled with ws 5! 5 int 4 regular attacks and 9 int 3 powerweapon str 3 attacks. All have 5++, 3++, and 4++ and FNP. They too are stubborn 10 but no reroll. 260 points with a rhino.

The canoness will be punked before she even gets to attack anything

No doubt it is nasty and will surprise people, but really you are paying a premium for surprising your foe. A conclave does roughly the same thing for cheaper, so you have to rely on your opponent not knowing that weird bunch of sisters and robed guys is a "deathstar", and allowing you to get into position for maximum damage to make up the point spread.

I don't think it will work often enough to be better than a conclave, really. Might be fun to whip out now and then, though. Especially against hordes.
