I was wondering if anyone could provide me with a good place to play WH40k here in Tokyo aside from the two official shops.
The reason for my inquiry is that I would love to play but the GW shops only allows fully assembled and painted armies which mine isn't yet. I'm a very slow painter. I started in november but still doesn't have 500 pts of painted CSMs.
My jaoanese is far from perfect but so far I have been able to get by.

Thank you in advance.

Hey there. I lived in Japan a few years ago, and had some success finding other gamers. I hooked up with a group in Osaka called JIGG (something like Japan International Gaming Guild). It was mostly a group of board gamers (nearly all English teachers), but I understand that some were Warhammer players. I would contact them to see if anyone knows any gamers out near Tokyo.

I'm planning to return to Japan this fall, but will probably be in the Osaka area again.

One thing you might want to consider would be checking in on the American military communities in Japan. There is an air base called Yokota about an hour by train from Tokyo. The military is full of nerds (seriously) and many of them get together to play games. Check out meetup.com and try to find a site that's designed for the American military community to sell things to each other as their rotations run down. Sometimes these sites are called "yard sale" sites and frequently have postings of people looking for gaming groups.
