Hi all looking for some feedback on the viability of this list in the competitive environment. So without futher ado:

Fast Attack
Wraiths x 5
Whip coils x 3

Wraiths x 4
Whip coils x 3

Scarab x 5

Necron Overlord (Tank and IC Killer)
Warscythe
Semp Weave
Phylactery
CBB

Harbringer of the Despair (goes with Immortals. Use the VoD bounce around)

How are you planning on deploying your Royal Court?

You could use the 30 points to buy HQ wargear?

Bedouin Dynasty: 10000 pts
The Silver Lances: 4000 pts
The Custodes Winter Watch 4000 pts

Not sure if I should leave the Immortals as-is or give them teslas. Thoughts?

Tesla. If you had an overlord that would give them relentless, then I'd go with the gauss.

I've found Tesla always makes up for its shots with the extra two hits for 6's. I almost always score a hit for each model that shoots, which is pretty wicked. Combined with Str5 and 24" assault you can't really beat that unless your army relies on glancing things to death (which is fun!).

As our bodies are armoured with Adamantium, our souls are protected with our loyalty. As our bolters are charged with death for the Emperor's enemies, our thoughts are charged with his wisdom. As our ranks advance, so does our devotion, for are we not Marines? Are we not the chosen of the Emperor, his loyal servants unto death?

To admit defeat is to blaspheme against the Emperor.

Thanks for the feed back.
So I have added teslas to the Immortals. Do you all think this is a competitive list?

Your overlord NEEDS MSS. I know it is only 50% - but since you listed him as being an IC killer, that 50% (or better) chance will really help in a fight - especially against named

Oh - and One big quick thing - and I have been hearing people making this mistake alot - you can only have ONE member of the royal court join each unit. meaning you cannot put 4 royal court in a unit. That is something you will need to rethink. Since Oby does not count as an Overlord or allow for the court rule - you are still restricted to the one.....sorry

Amaraxis is correct, two courts mean one from each court can join a unit, though I'm not sure if its the same type ie a lord from each court AND a cyptek from each?(total of 4) Though I'm pretty sure they can join each other ie a unit of 4 crypteks

It is just one period - so EITHER a Lord or a Cyrptek. If he switched out Oby for a different Named - he could split the court and put 2 crypteks in the squad - but that is the best that you can do.

I would recommend either keep all the court with one of the lords - or build your court around accentuating each squad. Just an FYI - you also CANNOT run just a squad of Crypteks/Lords without an IC in them and that IC must be the one that you took the court for - so you cannot take 10 Crypteks with 2 Overlords - and put all 10 with one of the OLs and the other OL with a squad....

Well, if you were (theoretically) building an insane Deathstar, I guess the maximum court and IC models you could try working in would be... 14?

Overlord A
+ 5 Lords
+ 5 Crypteks

Zandrekh
+ Obyron
+ Lord

(Overlord A is the main unit. The Lord from Zandrekh's court can join Overlord A's unit, and as both Obyron and Zandrekh are independent characters, they can join as well).

Also, I thought there was nothing saying an Overlord must stay with his Court if the court remains together as a unit?

Royal court members can only split off and join warriors, immortals, lychgaurd, and deathmarks specifically, you can't add a lord to a different royal court.

You CAN run a royal court as it's own unit made up of whatever members haven't split off and any IC can join them or not like any other unit. They are not a traditional retinue like warlocks to a farseer or something, they are completely autonomous. You CAN'T smoosh royal courts together in any way, 0-5 teks + 0-5 lords, no single units of 10 teks.

Ah, so 13, then.
... I guess that's still good?
