I'm going to a new store to play some new players in a casual group there. I'm trying to design a solid 1850 point list for all comers
What I'm thinking of right now, tactics on the bottom
HQ
Overlord, MSS, Scythe, Weave, Shifter, orb (205)

Royal Court
x2 lords with Scythe, MSS, Orbs (170)
x2 Destro teks with lances, x1 solar pulse x1 gaze of flame (100)

Elite
C'tan w/ pyreshards, gaze of death (250)
Lychguard x7 sword and board (315)

Troops
x17 Warriors (221)
x13 Warriors (169)
x5 Warriors (65)

Fast Attack
x5 Destoyers x3 heavy (260)
x6 Scarabs (90)

Heavy Support
N/A

Total: 1855
Overlord goes with lychguard, with the gaze of flame cryptek as a counter-charging screen for my shootyness, as I push up the field
The two orb lords and lance-teks go with the large blobs of warriors as fire support. Lance teks can help deal with armor/ elites
Destroyers flank wide, deal with armor
Scarabs slink around, deal with armor
C'tan serves as a anti-elite unit, keeping the enemy's attention, or as a battering ram, can also take out armor

I feel like this list will be able to deal with most average lists, minus a land-raider bonanza, or pie-plate extravaganza.
Admittedly, it is rather slow, so I will be relying on getting to objectives, and sitting on them, letting the enemy come to me.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to tweak this footslogging fun

TLR: Suggestions?

I like where you're going with this, but I'd probably drop the phase shifter and add a few more warriors and place him with a warrior blob to have more threat as you advance and shake some vehicles while your other boys get into position. A lord should me more than sufficient for tagging alongside the lychguard as you can allocate the PW wounds on the lychguard. That's really the only main thing aside from AT that I can notice, but so long as you're defending objectives or doing KP's you should be fine with this kind of list. My only concern would be trying to take an objective in an enemy deployment zone.

First things first you can not have two members of the same royal court joing the same unit. So you may not have Res Orbs Lords and Teks together without two HQ choices. I really do not want to make suggestions until you decide which way you are going to solve this problem...2 HQs or 1 RC per unit?

You also have 2 solar pulses in one court which is a no no

Ah, good notes,
Okay, given that I don't have enough units to actually place the royal court choices, I dropped one of the solar pulses crypteks

The way I figured I'd break down the Royal Court is like this
Overlord + Gaze of flame cryptek in the lychguard
Orb lord In warrior blob
orb lord in warrior blob
Solar Pulse Tek in Small unit of warriors

Obviously, dropping the one cryptek gives me more points to work with, I have about 50, I was thinking more warriors, should be able to get another...4 if my math serves. Thoughts?

I edited the original list to reflect this
