On a boat, Trying not to die.

What's their list look like, fail that, what do you think they'll run?

What does your list look like?

General advice, shoot them to death before they come close. It's a dedicated CC army versus a dedicated Shooty army. Remember that you'll always hit last, and that their vehicles can move very fast. Gauss and Tesla will be your friends, as their armor saves are low, and their toughness is nearly 3 across the board.

Crypteks with abyssal staffs ID aberrations if I remember correct and I find wraiths with whip coils pretty handy at holding out the rest.

Dont bother with night fight either. Unless they are really far away it dosnt pay most of the time.

str 7 is nice but almost none of them have more then 1 wound.

Laces will hurt a bit if you take any vehicles.

Ci tian with WD would be good until you meet their poisoned weapons ...

I think scarabs and wraiths are the way to go, scarabs vs witches and wraiths for their vehicles or take out their talos ... evil models.

+1 for barges of any kind.

Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high

Lance-teks would be very effective, STR 8 shooting can pop their vehicles, and ID characters/models

Bedouin Dynasty: 10000 pts
The Silver Lances: 4000 pts
The Custodes Winter Watch 4000 pts

Even with a reroll on acute senses, the average is only about 21'. This can still make quite a huge difference.

It does ignore Feel no Pain on anything T3 though, which is very important.

C'tan will fall very easily to Venom Spam. Only takes statistically, two venoms to down a C'tan.

This one of the few armies when Wraiths wouldn't be as Ideal. Anything can take out Dark Eldar Vehicles. Sending a regular swarm of scarabs at wyches is a colossal waste.

As for fighting them, a few things.

Eldritch lances will decimate them. While you may not have that many at 1k points, these scale incredibly well. The Strength 8, 36 will blow their vehicles out of the water.

Annihilation barges, are fantastic as well. They have a shorter range, but if they hit a Dark Eldar vehicle, it's going to go down, even with the AP-. Also, the Arc effect has a chance of downing any vehicles nearby.

CCB will wreck a Dark Eldars day as well. They are fast, and a sweep attack will just ruin anything it comes in contact with.

The Heavy Destroyers need to lock onto enemy ravagers and blasterborn boats and down them. Anrakyr probably won't help that much at all, neither will the chronometron or veil. He will have a haemy as an HQ which is the only multiwound DE out there and he won't care about him that much. Eldritch Lances would do significantly better. Scarabs in bulk could be agrivating and keep some shots away from the destroyers, especially with a spider or two buffing them. The venoms will decimate your infantry each one taking about 2 Immortals or 2-3 warriors each and there can be a lot even at 1K. With no transports the DE can be shot to pieces by gauss weapons.

BT uses the Codex Astartes as toilet paper. They’re an Imp Fist successor, recruit from multiple planets, and are known to be the largest Chapter in the galaxy. They’re on a constant Crusade, keeping it real for the Emperor and not bumming around like the other guys. They hate psykers and can’t ally with them. They’re basically an entire chapter of Chaplains. CC lunatics. What every Space Marine should aspire to be, if not trapped in a Matt Ward nightmare.
