I like it. Only minor adjustments I would make, only to adapt my own playstyle.

I'd of course change the CSM for plague marines and PG for melta ones, but I guess it depends on who you're facing.

Same thing for the Rhinos - you can add combi bolters for a cheap price.

I'm not that sure about the havocs. Why not 2 units of PM w/ meltas?

On the berserkers, PF + metabomb? I'd say either PF alone or PW + meltabomb.

I'd drop the dreads due to their liability factor but that's just me

personally, i'd drop the dreadnought in favour of another vindicator, and take the havocs as chosen instead. you might have to drop a chosen or two to make it work, but it'd probably work better. a lone dread isn't much of a threat, three vindicators deployed together will annihilate anything in its way. only other thing is, I might swap the combi bolters for combiflamers, because combi flamers are always good.
edit: also, PW and melta makes more sense than PF and melta, as the first commentor mentioned.

I'm fighting Tau and Plasma heavy Space Marines:

I love plague marines and feel no pain, but Plasma guns take that away. More bodies are needed to withstand those guns and get into CC (The Tau player changed his list just to counter the plague marines).

Also, the dread is going to be used to tie up some battlesuits/another dread for a few turns then it's free to attack whatever enemy it wishes.

Agreed on the chosen- a better bet than the havocs, whilst more expensive I think the outflank will serve you well at dropping off those melta guns. If your opponent is smart he'd shoot up that rhino first to stop it closing the gap, if they can sneak in from the side they'll give them less chance to do so.

Apart from that, I like it a lot- Good luck!

Chosen are the way forward for melta spam. their ability to infiltrate is priceless.

I always take powerfist champions on all my squads. Its a personal preference but i hate it when enemy dreadnoughts rip apart and entire squad of marines just because they cant hit back

You cant go wrong with obliterators but on a personal note having 2 vindicators will scare the out of everyone and its good to see you already have daemonic possession on them. i think tanks are cooler than infantry anyway.

The dread is gonna die. Tau guns will eventually get to him after they pop your rhinos (EA instead of TL- bolters). I wouldn't bring dreads, from any codex (except GK psyflemen) against tau.

Speed, Dr. What. CSM needs speed. The rhinos need EA to get to the enemy line. Havoks can't out shoot tau (or normal SM), only GK and DE can do that. Oh, Leaf Blower too. Almost forgot.

Anyway, CSM and PM will defeat SM and tau in h2h and thus that is your goal, getting there, asap.

Do you have jumper CSM? OutFlanking Chosen are also a good suggestion, forcing your tau opponent to coalesce his force away from edges, and making it easier for you to get into h2h.

Raptors are jump infantry which is a great way to get the speed you need to get to the tau lines quickly. give the leader a powerfist and he'll be able to beat up everything he comes into contact with. meltaguns are also a must cos meltaguns are awesome and, like the powerfist, beat everything

ill agree with you that the dreadnought will beat the battlesuits in hand to hand but the dreadnought wont get into combat because it'll be vapourised by a railgun or the aforementioned battlesuits will hop in, fusion blaster will go off, and the dreadnought will be a steaming pile of slag. which the suits will then hop away from maniacly cackling to themselves

The reason why I didn't take them is most sources say that you need at least 2 squads to make them worth it.

Also, the running joke in 40k in my circle, is that the tau player can't roll for squat. After an entire round of Tau shooting (lots of Dakka), 10 wounds. All saved.
