Why cannot the Americans use gliders? The Brits can. Also i understand the assult thing. But darn it i want them for transports to bring my equipment in,especially my 75mm Howitzers!!!

The reason behind this is that i am wanting to expand my Para force.I are gruop we thought it would be kinda cool to have them as reserves for the paras.

I thought that US glider forces were essentially basic infantry delivered via said craft. Then moving off and conducting the usual infantry role.

Where as British would and did carry our Coup de Main attacks and effectively land on top of the enemy and disgorge elite assault infantry. That said even the Brit Para can only deliver Combat Platoons like that, even we're not daring/daft enough to try and put howitzers under Gerries nose.

But I suspct you know that.

US airborne forces like their UK equivilents have jeep tows for moving guns about.

Of course if the rule of cool is applying then you are liberty to play as you wish, I'm not sure how cool your opponent will find the sudden arrival of a half dozen 75s in his chops!
