Hello all,
As the subject says I am starting Retribution as my second warmahordes army. I currently am running Cryx, and would like somethign different. I am leaning towards Rahn and BMs. Any advice you could provide would be appreciated!

Don't try to play to his tier list. You will be great at board control, but you will likely struggle to kill anything. One unit of BM's then go with the usual stuff like MHSF, Halberds, etc. He's a fun caster but there are more power options out there than him.

Rahn's theme force is fun, but it is a one-trick pony, and anything that shuts down magic is going to be a problem. While I have 3 units of the battle mages, I have only used all three a few times - usually one, and rarely two, is sufficient. Riflemen, especially with the UA, work well with Rahn, and with Ossyan as well.

Discordia is your friend, and the Phoenix is nice as well. I haven't tried the new Vyer myrmidons yet, but they look nice, and the Banshee seems like it will be a lot of fun.

My official faction choice is "All of the above"

Against Warmachine I love using Garryth, going to be trying out Kylyssa soon. And using Ossyan against Hordes.

The only really good tier list in my opinion is Vyros' NQ list. But even then it is still lacking in variety.

On a more serious note, what people mentioned above Rahn seems to be accurate. His tier list isn't the best and you only really need one unit of BMs. I believe he's more oriented around Scenario play, but then again so is Kaelyssa in a sense. However, he's also one of the stronger casters due to his movement shennanigans.

Kaelyssa is the best assassin in the army.
Put phanton seeker onto a loaded Hydra...you're able to snipe a caster thats hiding behind a jack/beast at 15" pow 15...
Have 2 hydras, upkeep the spell, use the first hydra, use her, put phanton seeker on the other hydra, now thats 2 POW 15 ignore LOS shots on the caster.

FTW

How many points would that be most feasible in though?

I have to admit, I miss the old Infantry battles of 4E compared to this 5E wonderland of APCs/IFVs everywhere. It's like we jumped from WWI to WWII.
