Hey guys I am looking to convert my CSM to Plague Marines, but I am trying to figure out if I should run them with pistol and CCW or bolters? What do you guys think? What do you run?

I am pretty sure that in the current chaos marine codex they are armed with a bolter..and a bolt pistol and CCW. So you could arm them however.

I think they look best with a bolter.

^^ Yep, meaning that you can shoot with your bolter, then during the close combat phase have a base number attacks of 2. A fun little rule that annoys my marine opponents to no end.

And with blight grenades means they can't gain a charge bonus, double success.

Yeah, they're armed with all three regardless, but I think they look better with bolters.

You could always model them in the true grit fashion of old, combine bolters with big blades around the bottem edges of it.

I have mine as a mix of bolters out, pistol and ccw, bolter on back, pistol and bolter... just to make them look more ragtag and random... they are Chaos after all.

Ccw in one hand an Bolter in the other... Fluff wise iirc the death guard were trained to fight this way, able to operate a Bolter with one hand.

Thanks guys! I modeled them with a mix of pistol/CCW, Bolter/CCW and just bolter. I really like how they look!
