Attention Warhammer
40K players. The N.E.W. Wargamers Warhammer
40K Championship will be here in force at the “Let’s Play Green Bay!”
Prizes, prestige and bragging rights will be awarded
When: Saturday March 31st-April1st
Sign-in @ 10:00
Games begin @ 10:45 t
here will be 2 hour rounds with ½ hour breaks.
Where: At Let’s Play Green Bay – Shopko Hall
What: 1850 points, 5 rounds of play over 2 days
RULES:
- Armies will consist of 1850 points using a standard force organization chart.
- The Warhammer 40,000 5th Edition Rules will be used.
- The AdeptiCon
INAT FAQ will be used. This
FAQ is available here:
http://www.dakkadakka.com/core/inat_faq.jsp The
GW FAQs will be used first, with
INAT only being used to answer questions that the
GW FAQs don’t address.
- All models in a players army SHOULD be painted to a 3 color minimum standard. Any model not painted to this standard will be FROWNED APOND but will be allowed to be used for this year only (with this being our first year doing this we want to attract gamers)!!!
- All converted models are subject to the Adepticon 2011 model policy. It can be found here.
http://www.adepticon.org/11rules/2011modelpolicy.pdf
The tournament organizer upon his discretion may remove models that do not conform to the 50%
GW model policy if this makes the unit they are in illegal then the whole unit may have to be removed with no replacements being added.
- No Imperial Armor/Apocalypse units are allowed. Players may still use their Forge World models to represent a unit from their codex.
- Individual units that may have multiple rules versions will follow the rules presented in that army’s codex. Please take the time to review the relevant
GW/Adepticon
FAQ’s for clarifications.
- Special/Unique/Named Characters may be fielded, provided their individual rules allow them to be used in armies of 1500 pts or less.
- The ‘What You See Is What You Get’ (
WYSIWYG) rule is in effect. That means all units must be easily identifiable as the particular codex choice they represent and that any and all weapons/options taken for a unit must be clearly represented on the model(s).
- You must provide access to your own rules (which include the actual Codex used for your army), dice, templates, pen/pencil, calculator, or anything else you’ll need during the course of regular play.
- A separate printed army list is required for the judges and each of your opponents. Army Builder is preferred!!! ( YES THAT MEANS BRING 7 LISTS)
- In order to keep the tournament running on schedule, when time is called for a round, all player’s must drop the dice and stop playing – no exceptions. Because of this, please be aware of the time left in the round and do not start a turn you cannot finish. A warning will be issued with 15 minutes remaining in the game.
- If illegal units or rules violations are found in a player’s list, at a minimum, the models in violation will be removed from all subsequent play. Tournament points may be deducted and award eligibility may be forfeited.
- Tournament Judges’ rulings are final and arguments or poor conduct by players will not be tolerated.
SCORING:
Battle: 150 points
Sportsmanship: 55 points, opponent scored
Appearance: 50 total points, judge scored
BATTLE:
There will be three equally weighted victory conditions in each mission. Whichever player achieves more victory conditions wins the game, receiving 30 points. In the case of a tie, both players receive 15 points. Total number of objectives will be used as a tie-breaker both for seeding in rounds 2, 3, 4, and 5 as well as for the Best General award.
SPORTSMANSHIP:
Sportsmanship will be player judged and will work as follows:
Great game (5 points): This game was amazing. My opponent was a genuine blast to play against. This would be for a really close competitive game where both players are having a great time regardless of the outcome. This is the top 10% of all your games.
Good game (4 points): I had a quality game with my opponent. I had fun, the game was competitive, and/or my opponent was a genuinely nice person. This is for the top 25% of all your games.
Decent game (3 points): No fights broke out, but my opponent was disengaged / disinterested, overly competitive, etc. This game is typical of what to expect at a tournament.
Poor game (2 points): I really did not enjoy this game and did not have a good time playing. If given the choice I would probably not play this person again. This is for sour opponents, slow players, and rules benders.
Terrible game (1 point): This game was downright awful. My opponent was a complete jerk and this is the kind of game that makes me not want to come to events like this anymore.
Inexcusible game (0 point): My opponent should not be allowed near children.
At the end of the tournament, you will rank your favorite opponents in order. If you are ranked as someone’s favorite opponent you gain 10 points. If you are ranked second you gain 7 points. Third gains 3 point.
