I'm currently at 1000 points for my blood angels army consisting of 4 razorbacks, predator, and lib .
Not sure whether to add 2 vindicators or 2 predators in the future.

They are both good options.

Do you want to kill tanks or infantry?

If Tanks, Autocannon/Lascannon Predator.

If Infantry Vindicator.

Get a Baal, with the assualt cannon and heavy bolters. Light armor hunter and rending can boost anti tank power. I don't like vindicators since it can be shaken to oblivion or one weapon destroyed can really ruin its day.

I was going to take the vindi as I was having trouble dealing with SW infantry when they got close. I considered using Baal but I was under the impression that you should fill heavy slots before taking Baals

Weird I fill out all my FA with baals before touching Heavy. I run Baals together and focus fire on anything I want dead, works pretty well against everything.

Moving 12" and still getting to shoot a Demolisher cannon makes me randy.

At the 1000 point level running VIndicators is too costly. If these Vindicators are for the 2k point range then I'd say go for it. 3 Vindicators are terrifying on the board because of the demolisher cannon. In my opinion Vindicators work better with Blood Angel Razorspam lists, because you already have anti- tank covered by the Razorbacks. So if you want to deal with hordes you can use the Vindicator and its also semi efficient against vehicles.

A fast Vindi can drop demolisher rounds in uncomfortable places very quickly

Go for the termies. DC are horrible, which truly pains me to say.

Stay away from DC is my advice.

10 regular assault troops with a priest is a way better option and scoring.

By removing their jump packs the Land Raider gets cheaper

At 2k I run 2 Vinds and 1 Pred.

Has always worked great for me.

Any particular reason why everyone hates DC? I really just need a death star unit to deal with TWC. DC just seemed more logical than terminators seeing that they would live longer vs TWC and would (I think) do more wounds

The Rage USR makes them incredibly unreliable, and easy to kite, or trick into assaulting worthless targets.

Rage, can't take objectives, very expensive.

just depends on how you want to use them in the army. Many players see Vindicators as a prime threat and want to pop them as soon as they can. So you could use them as bait to save other units. BA Vindicators are also better than the avg tank with a demolisher cannon because you have access to the lucifer engines. Personally though, I would go with the predators. Even though staying behind lines and shooting isnt really the BA's tactics, they can be devastating to your opponent while being out of range if they havent prepared for lascannon fire. The choice is yours though.

I hate telling you this, as Thundercav are my absolute favoritist thing ever, but if you want to deal with them, look into pouring more bullets into them. Playing against their strengths will get you all kinds of dead. Take them on with massive small arms fire, force weapons, or a unit that doesn't actually do what you're telling your opponent it does!

I know Apoc is far from a normal game, but during the last one I had 2 Vindicators drop their Demolisher cannons on them. There were many dead Thunderwolf Cavalry because of those Demolisher Cannon shots. It can be devastating for a unit of them.

In my Personal way of thinking , ( I am a Guard player ) Guard tanks if you are fighting them will laugh at you if your Vindicator trys to get within weapons range , in general the vindicator HAS to be supported by infantry other wise a leman russ is going to turn that vindicator into scrap before he even gets close to weapons range --- The Preditor is another tank that has limited AT ability ( in my Experiance ) but if you are not wary of the fact that the preditor is considered Squishy against any " Real " Battle Tank , the Preditor is again an infantry support tank with greater flexablity ......just my 2 cents

Motto of the Imperial Guard " If its worth bringing one its worth bringing three"

10 DC no jump packs pop them in a storm raven so the furthest they can run is to the front of it, give them a chaplain for some re-roll action and stick a Furioso on the Back with a pair of blood talons, flamer n a storm bolter, glide across the table to that undesirable unit and disembark... carnage in a can =)

Aghhh, my favourite formation (well if another Vindi was involved) - "THE LINE BREAKER SQUADRON" many a time as that displeased an orky opponent =)

Can't you potentially run 3 baals and 3 LC/AC preds?

That's what I'd do...
