I know, billions of threads on airbrushing. Spare me that.

I'm buying an airbrush soon, and I'm obviously new at this, so I'm getting a Paasche Talon off Ebay with a compressor.

Here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Paasche-Talon-Airbrush-TS-SET-with-D300R-1-8-HP-Airbrush-Compressor-/370572497993?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item5647d79449

Now, first question. I'm not looking to do detail work or anything, just basecoating, zenithal, and weathering. Would this be an appropriate brush for this?
Second question. Does the compressor have an appropriate PSI rating, and does it need a tank?
Third question. Where can I find resources/tutorials regarding cleaning the airbrush?
Fourth and last question. Air Vallejo Air paints worth it? Are they essentially properly thinned Game Color paints?

Thanks in advance.

Should be. Comes with two sizes of needles/nozzles. If you are not looking into making detailed highlights yeah it should be allright.

Second question. Does the compressor have an appropriate PSI rating, and does it need a tank?
It does for what you want to do with it. The tank depends on the noise level versus your patience level. The one in the kit runs at 53 db according to specs.

Third question. Where can I find resources/tutorials regarding cleaning the airbrush?
Youtube but honestly you will need specialized tools. Look into a MACK kit. Worth about $20 and you have almost EVERY tool you will possibly need and then some.

And get yourself a nozzle cleaner for when the brush clogs. http://www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/noclne.html

Those are the two essential maintenance tool you will need to clean up.

Fourth and last question. Air Vallejo Air paints worth it? Are they essentially properly thinned Game Color paints?
Have not tried them yet as no store in my area carries them. Will likely order some online at some point in the future. The Model Air does not have ALL the Game Color paints. Less choice but the metallics are supposed to be very good for airbrushes. That's what I heard not what I tried personally. Take with some salt.

Thanks in advance.

You are welcome

53 db would be annoying quick.

The TS suction feed isn't ideal for what we do. Get the regular Talon which is gravity fed.

That is what I use and I love it. That link also includes all 3 needles for it.

As for a compressor, I use a 1/8 horsepower airbrush compressor from Harbor Freight. Runs very quiet(I usually get away with using it while my wife sleeps in the same room) and only costs about $80. http://www.harborfreight.com/air-tools/air-compressors/1-8-eighth-hp-40-psi-oilless-airbrush-compressor-93657.html

I noticed that on the pic but the text of the auction mentions gravity feed. Typo or wrong pic?

And Aerethan is right, always go for gravity feed when it comes to models.

The auction I linked is for the gravity feed brush with all 3 needles and a fan spray nozzle. Worth every penny.

Other companies offer similar things, but I have this one and I'm completely happy with it's performance and cost.
