Im at a house party and these two guys and one girl have decided to take ecstasy. I whisper to my friend, also a 40k player, that they should just sign up for the Emperors Children. It led me to thinking, what about everyone else? What are the other drugs that various space marines adt like they're on? Also, i dont mean to endorse drug use or anything, but I'm interested.I figured Space Wolves would be alcohol and most likely loads of blow, Ultrasmurfs would be adderall, Thousand Sons are LSD, World Eaters are PCP, Emperor's Children remind me of ecstasy, Death Guard is reminiscent of heroin and other opioids as they make you smell like a garbage can and eventually die. Any others?

This is in fact the second greatest thread on dakka. Now lets get to the chapters

Ultra marines- diet pills, They are the prepie, people can't find out we take speed type of people.
Imperial fist- Weed,Pot,Grass, These guys build up huge bunkers and don't want to quite. can you say pot head?
Blood angels- meth users, They go into random fits of rage. Are stronger than they should be. and are bullet proof with feel no pain when certain people are around.
Death guard-meth again, They are decaying from the inside out. and feel no pain.
EC- I wouldn't say they are on every drug. They more than likely are taking a cut of coke with ex, and a hit of speed afterwards. They wouldn't take any downer,
Space wolves- because beer isn't a drug, I would have to say ether for them. Because lets face it, a drug that makes you drunker than if you where drunk.
Thousand sons- LSD, they are just tripping when they say most the legion was turned to dust.
World eaters- This one is hard. But i got it. adelral. I don't think i spelled that right. but large amounts act as speed with fits of rage.

Thats what i got so far. Please add to this list. and correct me if i am wrong. And for all you nay sayers who think this thread is stupid, Read some of the other threads when you get a chance. Grey Knights are harder to peg down. The whole they can't do the fun things because it all leads to chaos, So i would say... crackers and a ton of wine. If you don't go for that one. I would say maybe a herb that when lite on fire it produces smoke, BUT ISNT A DRUG!!! just gives off the same effects as one. Just to stay in the realm of fluff.

Aspirin, really. I still hold true that wolves are on mounds of coke at all time, it even goes with the snow theme. Whatever death guard are rolling with, we KNOW it's dirty as feth.

I wanna get down to the point where why at a party youre thinking of 40k? and what did your friend respond with when you said that to him?

Not every party is awesome. Some are downright boring, and after you've been there an hour or two and have had a couple beers but really aren't in the mood to move on to harder stuff and are pretty full of beer for now, you start thinking of all the things you'd rather be doing.

I'm in my, like, 6th year into my undergrad. I want to graduate, not party, and yet still I find myself roped in to events such as

The party is only what you make it out to be. Unless there isn't a keg and no shots and its a bunch of D&D nerds talking about their adventures with their power characters that won't die. Other than that, I have been to parties where girls have gone at each other, Sexual and non. Where cops show up. Most of the parties i have been to have been fun and i have left drunk. But then again when i partied alot i didn't have to worry about school or anything like that. Just trying to get to work that night. But i think the best parties i have had, where with my self. A night of vodka fueled video game playing. After about three hours of call of duty and about half a liter of vodka, I start to get bored and end up drinking some more vodka, touching my self, in all the right places and crashing. Only to wake up with a stain in my pants, a head ache and more call of duty.

Moral of the story, Parties are what you make them. Just don't forget you have a cd in your back pocket. I crushed a power man 5000 cd after getting stoned one year. I liked that cd...

Alcohol IS a drug, and more toxic than many illegal substances too.
Just because it is legal does not stop it from being a "drug" which is a term descriptive of it's effect on the human body and not it's legal(or taxable) status.
When people can get their heads around this maybe they will begin to understand that many legal substances are dangerous to the user and the use of some illegal ones is a "victimless crime".

Just read a quote where Phosis T'kar bashed a sister of silence's face in and sprayed her teeth across the ground, before Smashing in another's forehead with a head butt just after stabbing through her arm. But don't talk about pot, dammit. Regardless, if you don't understand that random things come up in conversations in parties, you've watched too many movies on them and haven't been to enough yourself... It's not like everyone just walks around the whole time talking about how drunk they are or what a great time they're having...
