Hi guys

Ive been rooting through my bits and old armies etc, and as you will have seen earlier i am looking to sort out my 40k armies, one with my Mono nurgle demons and i have a small, Legion of the damned force. This includes:

Chaplin/Lib
Converted Vulkan
20 Marines (including 2 Sergeants)
10 Scouts (which are actually storm troopers so they fit in the old LotD Theme of swooping in and protecting at the last crucial moments)
3 Rhinos
2 Dreadnoughts

I am looking to make a balanced Marine army from this... What do you guys think?

Im aware id need to add other models but id rather not just start again...

I LOVE the LotD fluff... but tbh, arnt overly excited about the unit in Vanila marines...

Would you say go with Blood Angels of Space Marine codexs?

Also, what would you add to these to make them more viable... I litterely havent played 40k in like 2 years and have been looking to get back into it,,, but have tried to find a new army 1st (that hasnt worked) so im going with what i have...

With a standard Space Marines army, that would come out to a bit under 1000 points. I'd get a Land Raider Crusader/Redeemer and some assault Terminators, then run them with Vulkan. Meanwhile, your tac squads in rhinos (who you should outfit with melta/flamer weapons to benefit from Vulkan) can ride up alongside him in their rhinos. Dreadnoughts can follow behind and scouts can infiltrate or outflank. It's a very solid start for an army.
