I am building up a white scars army mainly for a pre-heresy campaign the local GW is holding and i want to hold true to what the White Scars would bring to the table so lots of bikes and speeders. My question i am posing to everyone is what are some suggestions for Heavy support or Elite choices? Any suggestion helps just keep in mind i want to keep it as close to what the White Scars would bring historically.

As a chapter they traditionally didn't have many dreadnoughts as the old fluff said they didn't believe in trapping their souls within the sarcophagus. They do still use Terminators but always via deep strike or mounted in a Land Raider for mobility. The old fluff also had it that heavy weapons were only found in Tac Squads so no Devestators either. Predators are a good option, to be fluffy they should probably be without sponsons but thats debatable. Tac Squads in Rhinos are a good fluffy option as well.

Heavy support isnt really what you do as a white scars player. I would try to look outside of that part of the FOC for your firepower. Landspeeder typhoons, terminators with cyclone missile launchers, things like that. Land raiders and vindicators are ok I guess. Stripped down predators are fluffy but don't make a whole lot of sense as heavy weapons platforms.

Why's that? If a pred only has an autocannon or lascannon turret it can still shoot that on the move every turn. That makes sense and is pretty fluffy.

I know that Dreds are not traditionally in the army but something about having 2 ironclads drop podding in sounds really inciting. Especially just for the sheer shock of having armor 13 in your back line just to focus some fire power away from my bikes. but for about the same points i can have a LR loaded up with some terminators.

I have another question so if i take a captain relic blade storm shielded on bike and a biker command squad. what load out should i give them? Im thinking storm shields with power weapons. Remember this army is mostly going to be played pre-heresy .

Forget the heavy support an all that, spend your cash on an entire army of jet bikes, and run it as a bike List.

Because one single autocannon won't reliably kill anything. It won't even kill a rhino 50% of the time. Your points are better invested in something that will reliably do its job. In this case, the only job that a stripped down predator is good for is as a piece of mobile LOS blocking terrain under the space marine player's control. Which is a perfectly legitimate use, but not exactly the same thing as heavy support.
