Raef returns to the third chair to help us celebrate episode 100!! Thanks to all our listeners who helped encourage us to make it this far. This episode is for you.
Up first its a segment that only Raef can dream up: Raef's round table in which Raef asks Russ and Craig all kinds of random questions. What could possibly go wrong?
Later, we asked for it, and you came through. Some of the most amazing listener submitted content we've ever received highlighing favorite D6G moments and other wackiness was sent in for the Episode 100 contest. We play them all, comment on them, and give out lots of prizes.
So please join us as we look back and forward as the D6G passes 100!

Wow, I'm either way behind, or you guys put out episodes close together - I just finished episode 99 yesterday.
Hope you don't mind, but I'm going to put an episode 99 related comment here. First - epic rating description by Angelo. Second, I wanted to comment on the games being ported to the iPad -and lack thereof for Android. For Christmas, I received an Acer Iconia Tablet - runs on the Android system. From what I can tell, the thing does nearly everything an iPad does, for half the price. I'm not a huge mobile user, and can't take these types of things into work, so it works perfectly fine for my needs - except for some reason all these board games that are being ported to iOS aren't being ported to Android. There's a Carcassone app, and a Catan app - and a San Juan knockoff, but that's about it. For the life of me, I can't figure out why Days of Wonder and the like are going iOS only - seems like they're cutting out a large portion of their fanbase. iPad is still the most popular tablet sold, but Android tablets are not an insignificant number, and Android has a larger share of the phone market, from what I understand.
So...no real point here, I guess, other than grumbling. I guess I can only hope that as more people start using Android tablets, these game companies come around.

Great show.
Still not sure I get the pole joke, but found myself laughing along anyway.

Episode closeness: Yeah they were a bit closer than normal. We always try to get two eps out a month, and because of Craig's down under trip early in late Feb it pushed back the first March show, which required we pull in the 2nd show a couple days to get 'em both in.
The Pole: The first mention of the pole dates all the way back to episode 14 which covers Raef & Craig's first ever trip to Gencon (I didn't make it that year). In it Raef and Craig discuss one of the more interesting 'classes' they saw about a pole, it's nature, and it's limits. Which lead to Craig completely losing it on air and laughing for several minutes. "The Pole" has become a running reference in most of our listener submission contests. It's just one of those things.
The first Pole Episode:

You know, I've listened since episode 1 (or 1a as those in the know call it... ) and I had completely forgotten about the pole. So I'm guess I'm not as in the know as I thought I was.
Look forward to meeting you guys at Adepticon. Don't play Warmachine (for basically the same reasons as Craig), but I am bringing my Malifaux if you guys are interested. Hell, a whole crew can fit in the nooks of a PP Battlefoam bag.

So, I'm a little ways into the show now, and I'm a little surprised at the love for "John Carter". Now, I've never read the source material, so I'm not basing any opinions here on that. Instead, I can only go off the trailers - and they just made it look like a bad movie. Did the marketing campaign do it injustice? It looked like little more than a CGI-fest with unstoppable hero guy doing crazy action sequences.
Speaking of CGI...first episode of Season 2 of Game of Thrones - I was disappointed in the direwolves last year...they remedied that in a big way this season!

The marketing for John Carter was criminally bad. Done right I don't think the movie would have one as poorly.

What Ozy said. The publicity for that movie WAS criminal. The movie was an excellent sci fi fun fest.

Great episode. Raef randomly rolling out questions was awesome.
I'm really surprised that no one brought up Russ's love for things like grease pencils.
And, for the record, I love musicals. Thanks, Craig, I may have lost all my mini money for the year as my wife is plotting us a trip to San Francisco to see the new Les Miserables. Javert had better be worth it.
On a not too boring aside, Les Miserables nearly killed me, literally. I used to do stage hand work for the theater that handles the traveling shows. The motor that turns (turned?) the stage required no less than 14 strong backs to push it from the stage to the street. In a near miss for me, the motor went down the ramp to the street a bit faster than anticipated by all involved. The guys pulling at the front caused the motor to fish tail, nearly crushing me beneath it. In the end, it cost me a shoe; but I was just fine.
Looking forward to the next 400 hours of my life being filled with not too horrible humor.

You know, I was wondering about the grease pencils myself . . .
And you're question mark is correct, Armand, no revolve in the new staging.
The story of you almost getting crushed by the motor though . . . tell me, did a giant ex con hiding his identity happen to save you when it came down on you?
Cuz that would be too ironic . . .
I don't know about worth all your mini money for a year . . . but it's probably worth at least a few months' worth . . .
Thanks again for all the kind words, guys! Looking forward to the next 100!

Congratulations on not falling apart before episode 100! You do realise that you've got all this to go again in a couple of months time when you hit the 4 year anniversary?
I am looking forwards to the next 100. I do understand that there is a little more optimisation to go before the rotating third chair is fully incorporated, but you are still doing a great job. Looking forwards to the news regarding the Lost Chapters.
Keep it up, it's much appreciated.
Edit: if we learnt anything from Episode 100 it is that rapping is a lot more difficult than it originally sounds and that your winner was well deserving.

I'm certain that it was a large ex-con who did what no normal man could do. At the very least, that's the story I'm peddling, and will likely embellish into my autumn years. Going at this rate, an ex-con sent from a dying planet whose citizens gain powers from our yellow sun, and trained in various martial/magical arts from hidden temples and schools saved my life and introduced me to my wife.
Thanks, Craig, for giving me some mental exercise. I'm trying to picture how they'll stage Enjorlas's death after the barricade assault without the aid of the rotating stage.
On another note, I picked up a copy of Summoner Wars at Emerald City Comicon (seriously awesome deal $35 for the master set). When setting up a learning game by picking random forces, can you imagine which I picked? Totally at random: Shadow Elves vs Mountain Vargath. Maybe that's really the only forces that exist in the game.

I don't see how a person's prior criminal status is relevant-oh wait. I see what you did there. Very clever sir, very clever.
Also throw my name in on the "for once Disney under-hyped a move" hat. If there was a princess involved you get a crappy plastic toy in every kid's meal but do some classic sci-fi and not even a toxic plastic action figure at the dollar store. Fail.
