Hello everyone! I have just bought the Blood Angels codex, and I have came up with this army list
HQ
Dante-225pt
Elite
Sanguinary guard with powerfists and banner -275pt
Sanguinary priest with jump pack and powerfist-100pt
Sanguinary priest with jump pack and powerfist-100pt
Troops
5 Assault marines with meltagun and sergeant with powerfist and melta bombs-140pt
5 Assault marines with meltagun and sergeant with powerfist and melta bombs-140pt
980pts
I think that this list might work in 1000pt game. Please leave comments and help me to improve it

The main concern I would have with this build is the lack of units. Against a horde army like orks that can field 4-5 times the number of units, the volume of hit/wound rolls against your guard will eventually overpower them. I would suggest Assault Marines over the guard and maybe a cheaper HQ.

Well.. I know that I don't have very much units, but still I have to meet a budget of around 120$. Also I think that I will face mostly Space marines, so unit count should not be a problem.

Find a way to increase the assault squads to 10 man units. They will last much longer. Keep the priests naked to save some points.

Well I don't want to spend more than 120-130$ on it, and I dont have enough points to get 10 man squads, maybe I will try to drop one priest and get like 8 man squads. And can I take sanguinary guard as troops choice with Dante in army?

Thank you for your responses. So right now my list looks like this
HQ
Dante-225pt
Elite
Sanguinary priest with jump pack and powerfist-100
Sanguinary priest with jump pack and powerfist-100
Troops
Sanguinary guard with powerfists and banner- 275pt
Sanguinary guard with powerfists-250pt
Any ideas on what can I get for 50pt?Or should I drop one priest and take dread?

13 marines at 1000 points? You are going to get swarmed, drop Dante at such a low points level and get a Libby for 100 pts. with shield and rage for the (2) 10 man assault squads with a San. preist attached for FNP goodness.

If your concerned about $$$, buy 4 boxes of assault marines, make it (2) 9 man assault squads and convert the other 2 assault marines into a San. preist and a Libby. Done.

It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies.

So that leaves me with
HQ
Librarian with unleash rage+shield of sanguinius and jump pack=125pt
Elite
Sanguinary priest with power fist and jump pack=100pt
Troops
10 Assault marines with power fist and 2 meltaguns=235pt
10 assault marines with power fist and 2 meltaguns=235pt
695pts
Any ideas where should I spend the rest of the points? I am thinking about getting 2 dreadnoughts to fill the heavy support, or sanguinary guard and one dreadnought.

Ok, the Libby is attached to one ass squad and the Priest is attached to the other. Run then together, that way both squads take advantage of the shield bubble, the FNP, and the furious charge bubble. Drop the PF from the priest, you don't want him in CC, he is buffing your squads, same goes for the Libby, let the grunts to the work.

I LOVE the San. guard, DOA puts them almost right on target from the beginning and a squad with a priest (w/ JP) and (4) plasma pistols will wreck some serious shizzit. Don't worry too much about the "get's hot", you'll have FNP on your side from the Priest.

The only thing that this list lacks at this point is some dedicated anti-armor, I would suggest a (5) man Devistator squad w/ (4) ML, It only costs 130 points and (4) krak missles will ruin ANY vehicles day, not to mention that against horde armys, (4) frag missles will eat up a boyz mob in no time.

Ok... Since I cant fit devastators squad I will probably take melta bombs on one squad so I will have some anti tank. So here is my final( I hope) list:
HQ
Librarian with unleash rage+shield of sanguinius and jump pack=125pt
Elites
Sanguinary priest with jump pack-75pt
Sanguinary guard with power fists-250pt
Sanguinary priest with jump pack-75pt
Troops
10 assault marines with power fist and 2 meltaguns=235pt
10 assault marines with power fist and 2 meltaguns and melta bomb=240pt

I wouldn't put 5 power fists on your sanguinary guard. One or two should do the trick, but having your most expensive unit all giving up at-initiative attacks will just lead to them being cut down before they can get their chops in. In fact, I wouldn't put any fists on them. Not only does it make them even more expensive (point for point, they're the most expensive infantry in the entire codex), but it also makes it more likely that they aren't going to be able to do much of anything in combat. Besides, glaive encarmines aren't horrible weapon choices!

Also, death masks are a no-brainer on the only unit in our 'dex that can take them.

You only need one priest per 2 assault squads - remember the FNP and FC effect is a "bubble", not a rule they give when they join a unit.

I have to admit, I'm more of a fan of might of heroes on librarians than I am of unleash rage.

Dropping the fists and one of the priests should give you enough points to fit a devastator squad with 4x ML. Actually, just counted it up - drop the meltabombs on the one assault squad, and the 130 points you shave off by dropping the priest, fists, and meltabombs will get you exactly enough for a 5 man devastator squad with 4 missile launchers.

Also, remember: up to 4 heavy weapons doesn't mean you must take 4 heavy weapons in a devastator squad.

Get rid of Powerfists in Sang Guard. Already been detailed.

You need more scoring units. DOA and 10 men assault squads don't cut it. Maybe some scouts.

Maybe slip in some mech. If you want to keep with DOA get a Furioso with Blood Talons into a drop pod. Remember to cut an elites choice for it!

Powerfists are quite good at anti tank, but as Chesh detailed before, you will lose your initiative.

Anyway, this entire list is based around Anti Tank. If you face Orks or Foot Guard... you're probably done for.

It's a low point army, and at those point values, marines are always a bit at a disadvantage compared to horde armies.

Yeah, I know, but at that sort of points level you don't need that much AT.

If he's just getting into the hobby, then it's better to start with more AT than is absolutely necessary, since it applies to more lists than not. Plus, a melta shot is never "wasted" - even if it's not being fired at a tank, that's still at least one model that's going away if the shot hits.

So I think I will drop fists and one priest to get devastators with rocket launchers
HQ
Librarian with unleash rage+shield of sanguinius and jump pack=125pt
Elites
Sanguinary priest with jump pack-75pt
Sanguinary guard-200pt
Troops
10 assault marines with power fist and 2 meltaguns=235pt
10 assault marines with power fist and 2 meltaguns=235pt
Heavy support
Devastators with 4 rocket launchers
1000pt

You could also swap out the 2 meltaguns in one of your assault squads for 2 flamers, then take meltabombs. Then it would look something like this:

Libby with jp, rage/shield: 125 points
Sanguinary Priest with JP: 75 points
Sanguinary Guard: 200
10 Assault marines with PFist, 2 meltaguns, meltabombs: 240
10 Assault marines with PFist, 2 flamers, meltabombs: 230
5 Devastators with 4 missile launchers: 130

Total: 1000/1000, 12.5% HQ, 27.5% Elites, 47% Troops, 13% Heavy Support, 32 models, 6 kill points

Trading 2 meltaguns for 4 missile launchers, 2 flamers, and 2 meltabombs is a fair trade. You're still keeping enough anti-vehicle, but gaining a decent amount of horde-killing power as well. Although, your list looks fine as is, so the choice really is yours.

I would definitely go ahead and model all of the upgrades you'll want to take; definitely model a chapter banner, it's almost a required upgrade for Sanguinary Guard. Company standards are "optional", but if you can find the points I still recommend them; as well as death masks. Better to have it and not use it than need it but not have it. Plus, I love the look of death masks for some odd reason.
