Which of the four great Ruinous Powers are most likely to form alliances - if only temporary - in battle?
Also, would this extend to their Chaos Space Marine, etc. followers?

They all pretty well - they should ally less often than they actually do with their opposite Chaos Gods, IMO
Khorne
Just keep feeding them things to kill and they will work with you - run out of enemies / get in their way and bad things happen to you
Tzeentch
its all part of the plan
Slaanesh
As long as you let them do wierd stuff to each other and the enemy and the allies
Nurgle
Grandfather Nurgle is quite affable - of course those who work with them for too long tend to disvolve into some puss ridden hulk but hey......
so I feel they are all pretty likely - but the alliance may not last very long.

The 4 powers have united on issues in the past and it happens more commonly then you'd think. The Horus Heresy is the largest and most famous example, but even with minor Daemonic incursions (like the one described in the 5th Ed Rulebook) had Khorne, Nurgle, and Slaanesh all teaming up for a moment.

The Gods are crazy. At one point, everyone has allied with everyone. Even Khorne with Slaanesh and Nurgle with Tzeentch. None of the alliances are ever intended to last though.
