I used some CSC to strip paint off of some OOP Plague Marines; however, the CSC tarnished the metal and it's a pain in the behind to get the tarnish off. I've looked up a few ways to remove the tarnish on the interwebs but haven't seen any great improvement. Honestly I could care less what the metal looks like but I am worried about how this will effect the primer (GW or Army Painter). has anyone else experienced this and if so how did you deal with it.

Thanks!

my thought on this was a possible oxidization of the metal, either way no detail is lost and it seems that models would hold paint and primer better.

It shouldn't have any effect on the primer or the paint.

Metal oxidation (on miniatures) generally doesn't do anything to the paint colours on top of it. It's not like it's steel and rusty (which would) or copper or bronze (which also will).

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).
Old enough to know better, young enough to not give a ****.

That is not dead which can eternal lie ...

... and yet, with strange aeons, even death may die.
