Used them for my acrylic paintings on canvas. Never liked them even when compared to other acrylic paints made for canvas: they dry too quickly, they lump up and it had a glossy finish I didn't want.
If you want cheap acrylic paints you want to use on your minis, try Grumbacher or Liquitex. Both are almost in the same price range. I still use these for large flat panels. They cover pretty well (although not as well as paint made for miniature), and Liquitex is the right kind of viscous. But always remember to thin them, and they're better on areas that has no details and/or bigger models.
You can also try Golden acrylics. They mix a lot of color that would make the new Citadel range blush. Forgot about how thick they are, though.
W&N is top notch, but not cheap.
Here is a color study back then (it's a study! DON'T JUDGE MEEEEE~) using Reeves Acrylics. Granted, it's on a canvas. you can see how glossy it is and thick: I used the dried blobs as uh, artistic texture.
