Alright, Don't ask me how I got it. A new supplement add-on for 40k that has rules for fielding units and characters (including Primarchs) for use with 5th edition (and rumored 6th edition rules)

I think these are the first up on the internet. The DA are a big part of it, the final part to the white dwarf hidden message is a half DA and half chaos marine
HH will be released sometime next month.
A number of models will be released to go along with it, mostly from forge world, and a few conversion kits from GW.

All in all, a good April Fool's joke. Passable execution for the most part, although the subject matter is a bit too unbelievable. I saw through it the moment I read the thread title.

I actually thought Vladsimpaler's fake Chaos codex cover looked better than this, was funnier too.

This would be better as a Trolling exercise, not an April Fools joke.

sorry if i got anybody angry, I made the cover and WD cover in Preview on my mac in a couple minutes. I thought it would be cool, and it was April Fools, I dont own any of the pics, and i just grabbed pics from the internet. I made a few really obvious mistakes, so it was easily recognizable mistakes so nobody would be too disappointed, I had to make it quickly before school, too.

And a good prank never hurt anybody

You didn't make me angry. Sorry if it seemed that way. The real problem is that people sometimes believe everything they see online. Then there ends up being 15 threads on 15 forums all with untrue rumors.

You did do a nice job in photoshop though. This would have been a bit more believable if it weren't April the 1st.

On a side note, for those of you wanting to field primarchs. I have had a few over the years. I always liked using the rules for the Eldar Avatar for using Primarchs in Apoc. He is a pretty nasty unit, and fitting for Apoc games.

That and it's already 2 and a half hours past April the 1st, and April Fool's only lasts until midday here, so i'm well out of the mindset for it.

That being said, I definitely thought this was funny, and a good April Fool's joke. Though yeah, you would've done some serious damage if this had been almost any other day of the year, I bet the OP's stuff would've gotten on BOLS

Meh, perhaps it's just the fact that the codex image covers the '40,000' part of the title almost completely, and I doubt GW would do anything like that, plus the race name is at the bottom, when every recent codex to date has had the race name directly beneath the Warhammer 40,000 title, and the lefthand border has a line of white running down it from where the image hasn't lined up properly.

There's also the fact that, even though I can't speak or read French, what is there has nothing to do with the Horus Heresy save the images. It's on about being immortalised in finecast, some mention of the Crimson Fists and it all being limited edition.

Maybe it's because i'm just a cynic, and I tend to read the rumours before coming to a conclusion about it, but the failures on the fake cover were what I spotted first, not the cover in its entirety.

If i'd gone into it with a more positive outlook I might've grinned a bit.

If you were going to put the time in to make a nice hoax like that, the least you could do is center the title type on the codex cover!
