They’re both a similar element of Call of Duty, with the same wave based element of enemies charging a well defended location, with the objective being to survive to higher, and harder, rounds. Survival seems to be closer to the Hordes gameplay from Gears of War, which has been excellent. Clearly, Survival has more complexity than Nazi Zombies, which has been an advantage of Hordes, and sticking point for Nazi Zombies.

I’m wondering what you all have found to be a better game.

They still have it in WaW. If you have that one, you could get online and play it.

I really didn't like the Black Ops zombies, since it got rid of the humor of Nazi Zombies and turned it into just another zombie fandom game.

Black Ops zombies had tons of humor. All the JFK stuff? Brilliant

Yeah I'm not sure where the idea that black ops zombie games didn't have any humor is coming from at all.

That scene was hilarious. Black ops was a lot better than a lot of Zombie games. I didn't mean it didn't humor, but the ridiculousness of the "Nazi Zombie" concept wasn't there. I think it's because it's two things that seem like they can't get anymore evil and then suddenly do.

I didn't mean it didn't have humor, but wasn't as ridiculous in terms of two evil things suddenly getting more evil when it's expected that they can't.

I greatly preferred nazi zombies in black ops to nazi zombies in WaW and survival spec ops in MW3.

Nazi zombies, ugh. I love zombie themed games and the like just as much as the next guy, but that mode was trash from the get go. I could never explain it, but it always seemed like the hit collision was REALLY off. That and it was the same game over and over no matter how many times you play it. I tried it once, never touched it again until a friend had me play with him. Played two games, haven't touched it since.

I'll take Spec Ops over that mess any day. Like the MW2 bridge level. Traversing a nearly collapsed bridge while people are repelling down and helicopters flying around trying to snuff you with cars blowing up all around you? Yes please.

What do you mean by collision? Are you talking about bullets or when the zombies hit you?

I really liked Nazi Zombies, except of course for the fact that it is very repetitive with the only fun being able to get to higher waves. I can't play it by myself. I also only like playing it with a friend, seeing as how you can almost never end up in a game with anyone decent online. That said, the fact that they only allow four player online is absolutely idiotic, and kills it as a friend game.

The only thing I don't like about Survival is that they don't have four player. Sure, it would be a lot easier, but you'd just start maxing out at higher waves. You could probably mod the PC version to allow it.

The fact that you can have a huge group in Hordes makes it really great.

It's hard to explain. It's when you shoot the zombies though. When I play a game like Halo, or Unreal, or heck even Doom 3, when shoot things it feels and looks realistic. When I switch over to CoD, shooting things is just different. It's not just with zombies, it's like that in the actual game, only it's harder to notice because your having firefights with people at a distance as opposed to shooting slow moving zombies.

It's probably just a gripe with the engine.

Why dont they just make a call of duty game based on the Nazi Zombie Storyline it would be more creative then the last couple of games they have made.

Right behind you. No, really.

Zombies. SO much more personality.
Not to mention more interesting and more fun gameplay.

And interesting stance. For the longest time WW2 and similiar games flooded the market, that was all there was. Then they dropped Modern Warfare and all was good. Two more entries into modern times (not counting the BF series. Would that be...5 entries total?), and people are complaining that the present is over done. I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to ride this wagon for a long time. I might be sick of shooting people on desert maps, but I'm exceedingly more tired of storming the beaches of normandy.

Also, for the past 10 years or so, resorting to zombies is not creative in any way. You can make it somewhat refreshing, but you're still just doing what countless games have done before.

Second this, the Cod campaigns started to get a bit ridiculous after WAW, and i mean black ops... seriously? That campaign was the biggest load of random and unrealistic bull ever made. Cod4 was and still is the best cod game, even though only like 500 people play TDM on xbox :(

COD 4 was the only Modern Warfare game that seemed realistic.
