What army matchup have you always wanted to have for a game?

For me, it's 2 large foot guard armies with lots of uncombined platoon squads and leman russes facing off against each other. I just think it would be loads of fun, especially on a a trench or WWII themed board.

You'd need a board so big you wouldn't be able to reach across it in any direction. Bring a hoist, so you can keep moving your models!

I'd love to see an entire chapter of marines mobilize against ... well, anything, really!

I've played quite a few Guard vs. Guard games, and while I usually loathe mirror matches, they were some of the best games I've ever played. One was mechvets vs. my mixed army. It played out like Panzer Grenadiers fighting Allied troops in WWII. Check out the battle report here! Another game I had was my mixed army against an artillery heavy IG army, and it was a brutal slog the whole game for both sides. It was a ton of fun, and I hope to have more like it.

I would really love to mobilize my company of Crimson Fists against a similarly sized Ork army. A Rynn's World themed game or three would be awesome. I've also always wanted to do a big Armageddon game, with a bunch of Ork players vs. Steel Legion IG, Flesh Tearers, Salamanders, and a a few of the other chapters that were there.

World eaters vs. noise marines. They hate each other so bad. Anytime the armies are balanced and there's hatred in the air, I'm having a good time.
