Hi all, this is my first time posting here, have had my hand at Flames of war, but a friend got me to try 40k stuff a while back.
Have another kasrkin squad and some heavy support that is painted but not based yet. Only have a few pictures at the moment and sorry for quality I can get more, just looking for friendly feedback/advice. Thanks!

Thanks guys yeah I had a hard time with highlighting still trying to get better with that. And the base is just GaleForce Nine like rockish kind of material with Khemri brown and khaki highlight.

Excellent start! Advanced for a beginner. The Col. reminds me a bit of john Travolta, which is rad! Good job

Good start. The highlights are a little messy but that should clear up with practice. Try to use the side of the brush instead of the tip to get those fine highlights on the edge. The minis could also use some shading in the recesses of the cloth and the face. The white on the imperial aquilas is a little thick. Try using less paint on that area and just nick the detail. A few thin coats will look much better than slopping it on.

Great start. Details are well done. Highlighting isn't bad for your first time probably should use a finer brush. All in all, and excellent display of firstimer painting!

Keep up the good work. It doesn't look like it will take you too long to improve your paint skills considering how well they are now as a beginner. Great job.

Nice work for a first timer, wish my first models looked that good when i first started painting, had to repaint mine 3 times over to make them look at least presentable.

For a first time you did a whole lot better then i did. I only learned about high lighting 6 months or so after I did my first Minis. Very solid Indeed.
