So I'm planning on expanding my large Chaos horde at the moment to include small components from each of the Traitor Legions.

However I'm getting a bit of a "bler" feeling about Alpha Legion. They just come off as only able to be represented on the gameboard by their color scheme. I'm converting Dark Apostles, buying Warsmiths, conversion sets for World Eaters/Death Guard, and so on but the Alpha Legion still are just blue marines. Anyone have any tips to make them more interesting and have a better "feel"? Can be anything from converted units to paint tricks to accompanying models/units.

My Armies:
5,500pts
2,700pts
2,000pts

I believe the often incorporate a "snakeskin" kinda thing to parts of their armour, ive seen it done before (check the P&M showcase) Really makes them look unique. Also you could convert up some cultists and use them as lesser daemons? Kindoff a far stretch i know.

My army is Alpha legion already, as you said lots of little blue marines. I'm pooling the parts to build a chosen squad of infiltrators. Everyone will have some mark of outdated armor, with no spiky bits. The heavy weapon trooper will have an autocannon. And they will be painted as Ultramarines with a small hydra on the knee like an army marking

For the Emperor! Kill Maim Burn!... I mean purge the unclean!
