After seeing Orki's amazing inquisitor conversion, I thought I would post mine.

admittedly, his is way cooler. But my greenstuffing skills aren't where I'd like them to be yet. If I'm feeling adventurous, I may green stuff the =I= onto the shoulder pads rather than freehand them like I had originally planned on. Anyways, let me know what you guys think!

So long as you can make it clear he isn't a Marine with the paint job that is going to be unfairly awesome. Its just the armor is a little too Astartes in my mind, but the model works great overall.

Can't wait to see more. Be it a retinue, or just this painted.

Have to ask, Puritan or Radical?

Nice work. I'm in the same boat when it comes to using green stuff. I'd go ahead and give the guy a squad of Death Watch SM to use. They're in an old chapter approved article.

He doesn't really have a side, but if I had to choose, probably more puritan than radical. He'd use xenos tech if he needed too, but wouldn't outright ally with them.

That would be a good idea. I'm pretty sure I have the article around here somewhere. I'd even be tempted to buy the deathwatch conversion kit from GW with the deathwatch shoulder pads.

Thanks for the feedback!

Definitely fits with the middle ground then. Though possibly think of grabbing one or two minor xeno tech bits to put on him to help that effect. Like a Tau nade pack, or something.

Not a huge gripe, but helps convey Ordo Xenos rather than just Inquisition in my mind.

But can't wait to see him painted and hope you find a solution to your GS issue.

As for the DW kits they are sweet. Ended up with about 16 or so when GW botched an order of HBMC's many years back. I believe they sent those instead of HW Platform Wheels from memory. Hilarious botch up, but not as good as when they botched another order for 2 of something minor and sent 2 GK Terminators with Psycannons instead. Which I got. And have yet to build one despite his abuse.

A Puritan wouldn't even think of using xenos or heretical methods to combat the enemy. He just wouldn't. It wouldn't be "pure".

A radical, now, is one who "would use it if he had to". It is purely for entertaining the possibility that he might need to use other methods, that he is marked as 'radical'.
Even puritans will judge each other on how pure their methods are. The inquisition is NOT a united brothers-in-arms group, but a myriad of splinter factions ALL fighting at cross purposes.

ALL inquisitors become radicals. It's not a question of "If" but "when" and "by how far".

Read the Eisenhorn books by Dan Abnett. It clearly maps Eisenhorn's slide into radicalism.

wow! that's some good luck! I've never had any problems, but I rarely order from the website because of my student discount at my FLGS

I read them 10 years ago? it's been a while. good stuff though.I understand the difference between radical and puritan isn't black and white, but rather shades of gray. My inquisitor just leans more towards puritan than he does radical.

The distinction between Radical and Puritan can be a little blurring. As per my own internal reconciliation a Puritan yes wouldn't use any Xeno tech except in the most dire of circumstances, and even then more than likely simply choose death over it. Where as the Radical seeks it out specifically to use, with the justification of fighting fire with fire.

And everyone else falls in-between. With varying degrees of Radicalism. My favorite thing being Spyrer battle suits and the spin of "What heresy? I got this from humans. *Sly wink*".

And yeah we lucked out great. Me more so than HBMC since at the time I was the only one collecting some GKs between us. Having done parts picking in a warehouse myself I know how easy it can be to miss-pick if you are tired or just having an off day. But it all worked out, so in the end I just kind of owe the picker a beer I believe.

Nice ! Thanks for the link!

I really like him btw. He's got a bit of a Cypher vibe about him.

I'm not overly keen on the Dread bits used as shoulder pads though. They look a bit big and unwieldy to me. They do look pretty cool on Termie sized suits though.

I'd dive in with the greenstuff too btw. You'll never get yer skills up by putting it off! Just take yer time, and don't overwork it or try to get it neat until it's started to cure a bit more, and has become more tolerant to tools. You can always crisp it up with a sharp knife once cured too if it came out a bit too wobbly. Or just rip it off and try again if you need to abort it.

Thanks! yeah, cypher was definitely an inspiration, that model is just so cool. The dread bits were more of an experiment. I was trying something different to get away from a traditional power armor look. Once summer comes around, I'm going to starting working with green stuff. I've got some ideas for acolytes I want to try out. school just has me so busy right now I barely have time to get any modelling/painting done.
