So here's the latest addition to my ever growing swarm. I was gonna go with a pair of boneswords but I just didn't like the look of them. So, I went with the good old scything talons. Honestly the base was my favorite part to do. I also think the green on the leaves is a bit too bright and I should tone them down a bit. Any suggestions?

I swear it took me three hours to make that damn base ! But I really like the way it turned out. Bases are a lot more fun when you know what your doing!

I absolutely love the carapace work! In fact, I love the whole thing! Great job!

Great work all over. Love the glistening of the ammo-sac for his gun.

Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee.

I am a sucker for a basic codex paintjob done so well. Hive kraken is awesome!

The purple really works and is a nice departure from the green we often see. All around a really nice model and pose.

I know me too! I keep trying to come up with my own color scheme but it never works out. It usually goes like this...

"Ok, were gonna do carapace this color and body this color. Ok that's cool. But what if I switch the carapace to red fading into black. Yeah, ok that's cool. Ooh wait! Lets change the body to a dark tan flesh color. Oh yeah that's awesome! Oh wait..." Kraken strikes again!

I might try and work some browns into the carapace however. I'm hoping it will give it more of a bone like appearance. I was thinking of trying to drill little holes to simulate battle damage, and maybe making those a deep brownish red. Like those are the colors underneath. I don't know we'll see. I got some spare warriors to practice on.
