First I would like to know what colours are the paint I should get so I can paint them like the cover of the codex. To me they look more like Green, a dark Green. Is it Dark Angels Green? I don't see any silver so don't think they are pure silver in shadows. So if you can, what colours are they? I was thinking of doing something different, then noticed that the cover they are not the classic colour and was thinking of trying them for a test. Thing is, I don't know what paints they are espically since they have a new line now. What should I be getting?

Second, I would like to know, what colour you paint your Necrons. Are they the "classic" silver or metalic metal? I saw someone paint one Necron Gold and Red and it looked like Iron Man lol. What colour do you paint your eyes? I think Red like Terminator, but want to know what other people do so I don't always have Red eyes.

*edit* So I don't make a new thread, how do you make your troops? For now I am posing them different a bit, gun a little higher on one, a little lower, on another. I am wondering if I should be posing them all the same in a squad. Not sure, what do you guys think about this? Same pose or different?

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

They're generally defined as being a polished silver with flat grey-silver parts. This is not surprising, really, as they're an army who's look is based on the Terminator T-800 model.

I prefer the green eyes and weapons to them, though I might add some other chromium/metallic colors to unit leaders and HQs.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

Sorry but I don't know the answer to your first question, but in answer to your second I've gone with the standard Boltgun Metal. I don't care what people say, to me and my foes they look pretty intimidating. It also ensures they're quick'n'easy to paint.
Third question: I think that posing all your models the same would make for quite a monotonous army. They need variety, even for an army that (fluffwise) is quite unified and robotic. Having said that, Necron fluff dictates that Necrons frequently succumb to misfires and stuff, like random electrical discharges in their legs, so they're not completely samey. In my army I have half of them pointing their guns at the enemy, and the other half holding their guns to the side, but all in varied positions, for instance one may have their gun raised up, and the other down low.

Hope that helps
