In WYSIWYG tourneys, do you have to field THE actual model, ie Ghazgul Thrakka, Vulkan He'Stan or can you field a unique looking proxy?.

Thanks,
G

Depends on the tournament. Some allow, some don't. It's always best to check with the Tournament Organizer.

I think most tourneys go by 'rule of cool' and WYSIWYG.

As long as the stand-in is WYSIWYG and looks nice, I don't think they have an issue with a converted megaboss being ghazghkull (as long as there is nothing causing confusion)

Personally, I have stock versions of every ork SC painted in stock colors if it ever becomes an issue at events and to help opponents see what they are clearly playing against a SC with special rules. Nothing is worse to see a Nob with a PK end up being snikrot or a Megaboss being Ghaz.

Lol. Yeah. I just specifically dislike the Ghazzy model. I don't think my AoBR boss would pass the "rule of cool" regardless of how cool I think it is.
Thanks

I too am wondering about this. I've got a vangaurd veteran model with lightning claws modeled and painted up and I'm playing it as Shrike. I added the Iron halo and everything too.

Answered in one.

Generally though, as long as the model is the same size and represents armor and wargear, etc so on, you should be good to go. AOBR Warboss does not represent Ghaz though.

Stock it wouldnt fly but if you toss on some plasticard and other bits to make it well armoured then it would be acceptable if done properly under "the rule of cool".
