I was thinking the Grey Kinghts can get whatever they want just buy having an inquisitor snap his fingers so is there a chapter without wargear because of this? Additionally is there a way of representing these poor space marines on the table. Like a Liberian who can't have a force weapon (can't be done but still)

Because each chapter has their own armoury, yeah, it was just a floating idea, and actually if they were a stormbolter short you're saying they wouldn't just take it? Then again it's probabe that that scenario is inpossable.

They don't requisition materials from other chapters; they requisition it from forge worlds, probably Mars.

1. Space Marine Armour and Equipment = Sacred artifacts, handed down from warrior to warrior, carefully maintained by the Marines themselves, as well as by legions of servitors, etc.. .
2. Most Marines seem to take to space with an abundance of material. Assuming they're not cut off from the nearest ship/depot, I never heard of any Marine running short on equipment.
3. Why "Grey Knights" as opposed to, say, Rainbow Warriors being a Stormbolter short and trying to snatch one from the Silver Skulls?
4. Inquisitors are not part of the Grey Knights. Inquisitors also go "missing" frequently if they overestimate their authority against some prickly inhabitant of the fiercly feudal, medieval IoM.
5. Why go on intergalactic warp-travel for a Storm Bolter, when you are sitting on Titan and Mars is literally within sight?

This isn't going to work. GK have access to equipment directly from the "manufacturer" as it were. If they absolutely had to, they might use the weapon of a fallen Space Marine who was fighting along with them, but I highly doubt that would happen commonly.

I think a poor chapter may be hilarious none the less. A paper towel tube that says "bolter" on the side, trash can lid storm shield, a match and can of wd40 flamer. The possibilities are endless.

However, there IS probably a chapter out there missing some fresh wargear due to the Marines Malevolent deciding they needed it more.

IIRC the GK have a mini-forgeworld of their own orbitting Titan, after having been Wardshunted out of Mars orbit
I love the idea of the Adeptus Supplius Crappius though.
I can see myself modelling up a wd-40 + lighter flamer, and a firework-tube rokkit launcher (with blue touch paper...)
A cardboard box with 'Land Raider' printed on the side...

I'm most amused by the idea of a Space Marine Liberian.

Hobo Astartes. They use tin plated cardboard boxes as their tanks. EDIT: Make that aluminum foil plated. Tin is too expensive. Oh and their battle cry is ALMS?! YOU GOT ALMS?! HELP A BATTLE BROTHER OUT! FOR THE EMPEROR?

The only chapter that actively steals other Marines' wargear is the Blood Magpies from the Dawn of War games. Almost every single piece of wargear in DoW2 is described as being made for one chapter and that it somehow found its way into the Blood Ravens' armory.

You noticed that, too? I thought it was maybe Relic just name-dropping for the sake of world-building or being a hipster or something but... what you say makes sense.

I always found it hilarious how they happened to "find" wargear that just happened to be near a dead inquisitor or something.

The guys from Relic have a pretty good sense of humor; I'm pretty sure it was serious in DoW2 vanilla but by Chaos Rising or Retribution (definitely by Retribution) they started making a joke out of it.
