I'm not a paid endorser! I just happened across this deal:

http://www.saboldesigns.net/catalog/item/7792246/9276344.htm

Heck of a price, with foam.

I've been looking for a solution to my Valkyrie/Vendetta storage and transport problems.
I'm actually getting it for my Baneblade and Stormlord, but it might be good for fliers as well.

Foam is good. Bags are rather squishy. And by rather squishy, I mean really really squishy.

Anyone seen the testimonials page?

http://www.saboldesigns.net/testimonials.html

Ah those are so out of this world that it seems like the bags are TOO good for your average gamer. How many people are going to get their house blown away or have such a horrific car accident with their minis in the car with them?

That said for that reason these smell a little fishy.
Don't know if I can believe them. Were they posted April 1st?

well generally a customer who's just satisfied is not going to do a testimonial. the vocal customers are either those who are distinctly unhappy, or those who are overcome with joy.
and since we can hardly expect sabol to publish the negative reviews on their own site, I'm not particularly surprised by those.

Sabol is an ok brand. Battle foam is more expensive but you get quality for what you pay for.

I do like like Sabol's foam tray over battle foam, but the bags made by Battlefoam are great.

It's like comparing a Yugo to a Benz

If you are starting out in war gaming, just need bags for mini closet storage I recommend Sabol.

If you travel a lot, go to the game shop a lot or cons battlefoam is the better choice.

Both my bags and been beaten up (sabol and BF). My Sabol looks like it has been to hell and back. My BG bag just has some dust on it and slightly worn at the bottom of the bag.

This bag is supposed to be less "Squishy" with the side/bottom inserts.

I have three Armored Company bags and like them a lot. The rigid plastic boards that "armor" the bags do cut down on the softness of the bag but also end up pinching the interior foam trays a bit, especially right after purchase. If anyone decides to buy an Armored Company bag I'd recommend leaving the unplucked (and thus more rigid) foam trays inside the bag to stretch out the bag material and allow the bag to set in place before putting your plucked foam trays inside. Plucked foam is much more flimsy than unplucked foam, and I have noticed a tendency for plucked foam trays to bend inward when put in a brand new Armored Company bag.

Of course if you don't instal the plastic boards in the bag's walls the bent foam will be less of a problem but then your bag isn't "armored."

I agree with you. My problem is I already own 4 Sabol bags, with all of my stuff in Sabol foam already. It's hard for me to justify spending the around $215 + s/h for a P.A.C.K. Air for just my flyers. I don't plan on adding enough models to make it worth getting it.

That's great advice! I really like the Sabol bags I have, and this deal is coming at a good time, as I'm starting a Valhallan army.

Looks like a good deal. I got a Portable Warfare bag and love it. High quality bag and high quality foam.

Sabol makes good bags for sure. If you want non-squishy, the Armoured Company is the way to go. Like DarkTraveler said, just store the bag with the unplucked foam in it for a few weeks to stretch it out.

My buddy and I got the same deal last year and we're both quite happy with it.
