I had a game against a Constance Blaze force recently, though it was heavy on the mercs (edit: turns out it was a 'merc' force).

Forgive my lack of knowledge on names, been out of the game for a while.

He had:

Blaze
Rocinante
Precursor knights (I think)
Gunmages
Gunmage solo marshalling a Mule
eEiryss
Anastasia di Bray
Harlan Phineas Versh (I think, dude with Quad-fire)
Madelyn Corbeau
Rhupert Carvolo
Forge Guard? (dwarves with hammers)

Which is horrific (he was practising for Steamroller).

I have (literally):

eSorscha
Beast
Spriggan
Koldun Lord marshalling a Destroyer
MoW Kovnik marshalling a Kodiak
Demo Corps
Manhunter
Greylords
Widowmakers

Any advice? There's so many threats from so many angles. I don't have much in the way of range and don't have the hitting power his force does (though back-swing and thresher are good for anti-infantry counter-attacks, along with the sprays from the greylords). The Spriggans flares are useful for helping the widowmakers take out the solos, but then I'm sitting 10 points of jack up front to get spanked by angry dwarves.

Those Dwarves aren't very fast.

How well does Shatterstorm work for you on epic Sorscha?

edit: I meant Shatterstorm on the widowmakers.

Kill his support solos. Anistasia, Rhupert, and Madelyn are valuable to him to function so target them first if you can. Your probably also going to need to destroy or cripple rocky before you go for the kill on Constance herself, that jack has the same guard dog ability as your faction's wardog so ..yea.
Don't be afraid to play the ranged game a bit, you have almost as many guns than him with generally higher power, so make good use of them. If you feel you need more hitting power use sorscha's feat for extra damage, but I can't really see a list with beast09 and demo corps as low power.

I found the demo corps died fast (as they always do, ARM16 isn't much) and are as slow as his dwarves. Plus they can be targeted over other units. And they don't have crit slam...

The Mule out-ranges the Destroyer thanks to the gunmage UA, has a bigger blast along with crit slam.
What can I do against this thing?
It also ignores concealment thanks to it's marshal. Maybe send the widowmakers after the UA?

As for shatterstorm and the widowmakers; yes, it's a favoured tactic of mine (and just about all eSorscha lists/players), though against defensive line and shield wall it's not that effective.

He generally keeps the solos back behind the knights, meaning I have to get dangerously close with the spriggan/windowmakers to attempt to drop them, which then exposes them to the knights and dwarves. I can't swap them over to iron flesh as the former have blessed weapons.

I think I need to whittle his front line down with the snipers first early on. Plus at latter stages I could feint a large attack in order to get him to pop his feat and then pull back to waste the benefits he gains from it.

He is allowing proxies though, so any ideas what I could run things as? Perhaps swap the manhunter for a widowmaker marksman?

Depends on the placement.

If you Shatterstorm a model slightly behind the front line, the
point of origin comes from behind the shield wall, doesn't it?

Eat full POW!

I still have to have LoS to that model, which is difficult when they are behind a row of 10 dudes in BtB.

But yes, it's a possibility. Though I'd have to pop a hole in the line and the solo would have to be very close behind.
Also, the piper generally gives them tough most of the time.

I was under the impression that only the unit of mages got the UNIT ability.

Jacks marshalled by the GMUA can use one of the three GM abilities.

True sight is a tactic. I don't think the Marshaled jack is part of the unit?

This.

Unless the rule specifically states it, True Sight only applies to the Gun Mages. He
can use their shots, but not True Sight.

When using shatterstorm shoot the guys next to the guys on the ends of the line. Then when shattestorm kicks in the guy on the end is no longer in shieldwall. If you hit with all your widowmakers you should be able to remove 8 Knights from the board a turn.

Shatterstorm kicks in when they are boxed, before they are removed from play, so they still get their armour bonuses.

Its a hard one for sure,

Maximise on Winterguard Sprays and try to combine them with A&H for more damage output.

Shatterstorm is also another great way of dealing damage, but be careful of her putting out Banishing Ward/Immune to Spell Units.

Banishing Ward does nothing against Shatterstorm. Shatterstorm
doesn't target models aside from the friendly models that you want
to use it, so you can't strip Shatterstorm or block it with Banishing
Ward.

Seems I misphrased that

I meant careful of banishing ward/spell immune from A&H.
