Taking a slight break from my orks im finally getting around to work on my ig, had a moment of inspiration met by once again my mad mek self as I threw together a company command kit. Just the basics atm but have models for my commander, the advisers and a few others.

Starting first with my yet unnamed company commander

A very simple kitbash with a nicer sword and I feel a nice pose, hes a little less formal but still shows his hard earned medals

Heres the platoon commander for my Infantry platoon, rather simple but a bit more, formal, than his superior.

My Master of the ordinance is a little bit simpler, instead of a vox caster himself he will be 'utilizing' the squads vox operator to call in the targets he marks.
While not the best conversion, I really want this more as a 'play force' than a full hyper modeling project, later I might refine it but for the moment its an army I want to play, but has a bit of a lore behind it which ill get into later.

Next is the 'astropath' counts as. In truth he is a Quartermaster of the Munitorum.

The Officer of the fleet has a bit more of an officer feel. The imperial fleet has a strong presence on world being a supply hub for many forces in the sector.

(when I need just bodies for the squad) I have two 'naval commandos' assigned as bodyguards for the Officers. The elites of the navy (a fun kitbash of valkyrie kits I never bothered much with, they have a unique look which Im pleased with, might be interesting to one day perhaps do a squad of men like this, unique helms and

Heres a group shot of them so far, they are if nothing else workable at least.

Also the 'test paint scheme' for the infantry platoons, each squad will have its own 'unit colors' on its left pad, a color with a white stripe. This is as much for lore as to help me tell them aparat on the battlefield.
The painting level was quick to mainly test colors, I wanted the armor to be a near tropical blue on kahki.

oh and an example of the camo used on the vehicles...

Questions and comments are always welcome

You have some good looking minis there I love the Naval commandos. The tank is cool as well. Although I would suggest dirtying up the tacks a bit more, lightly dry-brush some brown on the tracks and near the tracks.

I love your command squad. I may have to do some simple conversions like that. I want to avoid metal models all I want and I like the idea of a munitorum officer instead of an astropath.

Id love to say I wanted to avoid metal models with those conversions (and while I do...) the real inspiration was just scourging around in my bitz box and finding cool inspiration.

The tank, I had done work before but forgot to take an updated picture, heres what I have so far, unfortunately, not enough to even field a legal list yet lol.

still so very much to do lol
