Going to try and update this thread on Friday nights with my weekly gaming groups painting exploits. We're more or less running an escalation league. Trying to do 250 points every 3 months, and them game at the new point level every 3 months.

In March, we hit 750 points. At least 3 in the group are brand spanking new to the hobby. They're all new to painting too. It's kind of cool that they're all willing to try things that I wasn't willing to try until years after I started.

So here is tonight's progress shots! (clickable to view larger).

I got the work done on the bottom guys tonight. Only got that much done because I spent 30 minutes looking for 2 heads (and trimming mold lines sucks). I gave up finding them. And about 2 hours later, I realized I had already used them in other models...

NegroSuave worked some more on whatever these guys are (Necron somethings...) He's a big fan the glossy shoulders, which look kind of cool on the table.

NegroSuave's fiancée is finishing up this group of Daemonettes. She washed the skin, and painted the trim on the bases. I think these guys are effectively done. (Pink and green are her favorite colors...)

And finally, Quark is getting the bases done on his Eldar finally. He still wants to go through and drybrush them.

3500+ points and counting

Necron Immortals! I also have a side project of Dark Eldar that I'll bring to the table soon.

Update #2!

Quark had some back issues tonight, so was only able to get his black down on a few models. Banshees and Dire Avengers, I believe:

Ultimately, they'll look something like this:

NegroSuave got to work on some new Necron models he primed earlier in the day. Primed black, 2 coats of Bleached Bone, and a heavy washed of Sepia got them to this point. He's not entirely sure what to do with the beard for the guy on the right, or their capes. Shoulders will most likely match the rest of the army (glossy black, we'll have pictures eventually). Suggestions are welcome.

Suave's fiancée begrudgingly started her seekers tonight. However, once she started them, she was happy with the progress. As usual, more pink!

I got 6 more gaunts clipped, shaved down, built, and based. Took me long enough. (The hardest part being gluing them to the slate bases.) The 15 models shown here will be primed this week, and I'll get started painting next Friday. This is all I need built to hit 1000 points. Once they're done, I'll get a group shot.

Nice idea for a blog - it's really interesting to see the progress on each army. The necrons are looking great and I look forwards to seeing some paint on your guys!

Thanks peebs. I've got a bunch of nids painted already too. I'll get a bunch of group shots once this lot is done.

Last week was lost due to us being exhausted from work. Fortunately we were able to get back together tonight and make some more progress. As my nids were being primed tonight, I worked on Quark's Warlock that I promised to paint for him. Minus the base, that is. Didn't turn out too bad.

Quark worked more on the banshees he started last time. Took a bit of time to remember the recipe for the hair color, but in the end, it was figured out.

NegroSuave kept using his shiny black on the shoulder pads of his guys. And managed to not spill his wash all over himself this time too.

And last, but not least, his fiancee worked more on her Seekers. Despite her complaints of not enjoying herself, a couple colors in and she was having a blast.
