Hey guys and gals

'bout time i joined the party, someone left the door ajar though so i thought i'd come on in, you don't mind do you?

I started wargaming back in the late eighties/early nineties, playing Heroquest in primary school before moving on to the much superior Advanced Heroquest and i suppose this naturally lead to playing WFB, i still have some of the plastic skaven from Advanced Heroquest which made up the bulk of my first fantasy army. I must have caught the Choas bug back then as these days i have a large army of Chaos Warriors Undivided and another of Beastmen (although a new Empire side-project has me turning back from the dark!)

Although WFB got me into the Games Workshop multiverse its 40k that i spend most of my time (and money) on, much to the dismay of my wife. I'm sure i'm not the only one out there with too many armies, miniatures and models to build, paint and finish, but hey, it keeps me off the streets and outta trouble! I came to the conclusion long ago that i have more than a lifetimes worth of miniatures sitting about that 'i'll get round to finishing one day'

I have a large mechanised Imperial Guard Army comprising GW, Wargames Factory and Old Crow models which is undoubtedly my first love (up the Guard!), a large army of Space Marines of my own creation, the Deathdealers, are also competing for my attention, lurking in the web way is an army of vintage Eldar that i'd love to finish and theres also an Assault on Black Reach Orky army that i've added units to whenever i'm feeling particularly uncouth and xeno-like

Work, Family and other commitments mean that 'daddy's wee toy men' aren't all painted or finished but i'd love to show some of them off and let you see my works in progress, as soon as i figure out how to take a good close up/in focus photo on my wife's camera i'll be posting pics aplenty!

The thing that drew me to Dakka was the huge treasure trove of ideas and inspiration that i could steal/apply to my own armies, theres so many cool, crazy, awesome minis out there, hopefully i can contribute a little too!

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

Don't worry i'm one of those people who has too many armies but as long as you enjoy the armies why not buy them.
