I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions for a 500 point elven army also i am a newer player and i hav only played 1 match and it was with tis army
Curentlly my list is
1 legolas
1 Eyowyn with horse
11 EW w/bow and Armour
7 EW w/sword, Armour and shield
5 EW w/ spear Armour and shield
10 rohan royal guard on horses 3w/ throwing spears
total 300 points
EW= High Elven warrior
if you have any suggestions pls post them

Elves or Wood Elves? Big difference in what you can take.

Also, I assume (because you're my opponent ) that you aren't using the new warband rules (original rules instead, with 33% bow limit).

You're best bet is to use Eowyn and her 10 guard to flank while Legolas leads your troops into CC.

ok that is a good idea also 10 is 11 is 1\3 of my army

Use your Elvs with bows to pelt the enemy with bowfire, then manover Eowyn and her royal guard in for a flanking move, once the enemy is close enoug. Make sure to get your Elves in first thou

And yes, what kinda elves are you fielding?

If you take wood elves (which I believe is what you told me), you can't take shields, and I recommend taking elven cloaks. Plus, wood elves can shield with their spears.

I was planning on taking high elves.

Wrong. Rule no.1 of wargaming is have fun always!

While that is true, there is nothing wrong with proxying to try out a build, just with your opponents permission

Update i played a 500 pt point against Moria and it lost in a close match. the Moria goblins managed to overwhelm my elves. Also Dr. what played this army and i played his anmgar army inspired by Brother-Captain Scotti and I got destroyed flat out He took out my 20 specters, 2 barrow-wights, and 1 shade without using any elven swordsmen or spear men he used his Calvary to hold my army at bay and picked me off with his bowmen. Congratz to Dr.What on the impressive wins

Now that sounds like a BR I would like reading, always great to read battel reps against Moria, I ad a game with my GF today before she traveld to Sweden, good god how I faer those Rohan dudes when I am marching Easterlings up the board

Although it usually isn't recommended, I suggest volleying. Hold the lines, make Rohan come to you. Then, deny them the charge.

Any successful volley shots can really hurt horsemen and formations are screwed/slowed (letting you get in more shots) making things easier.

I have tried that, it would work if I acctualy could hit something with my rolls for my archers. And I dont have the pantiece to sitt and wait for my foes! Once I reach them all is leved out

Agreed, it would be cool if you posted one some where around here, I also have much love for the little moria critters (so much so I have an army!)

I feel your pain, archers are not friends either, no matter how much I love the humble bow

What cavalry are you talking about?

The Galadrim heavy cav, who is just so brutal I get nigthmares abouth them.

Galadhrim used to look good when they were haldirs elves in metal, the plastics are not so good........
