This is the last scenario that finishes a campaing I started with In the Emperor's Name but I finished with Chain Reaction Final Version. I played it with Epic 6mm miniatures on single bases.

Great Write up.

Is CRFV pretty similar to the new version of 5150? We've tried 5150 (including the new version) a few times and didn't find it to be our thing, but it's a well thought out system with alot of fans. Also, I've never seen a system as well developed for solo play as 5150.

5150 was developed from Chain Reaction, but it is fair to say that if you have played one THW game then you know what you are getting with the rest.

However Chain reaction v3 is free and so costs nothing to try.

Personally, you get the odd result now and then again it almost gives that little plastic/metal hero his own say, rather than you just sending him to his doom. great for small troop counts and for us that like storytelling in our games.
