Hello friendly (or not so friendly) Dakkanaughts. I've never done a P&M Blog before, so this will probably be a load of . However, for the sake of I'm not sure what yet, I'm going to keep a (relatively) detailed blog about my Dreadfleet and my Dark Eldar. I can't promise too recent updates, because I have the painting will-power of a bored gnat, but hopefully I'll get some interesting stuff every now and again. To start, here be my Black Kraken and Skabrus WIP, and my Dark Eldar so far:

Here is the Archon, an Eldar Ranger from the Inquisitor game. The next one is of the same thing, but with his strange pet 'dragon' from the Warmahordes site. It was going to be a Medusae, but then I gave up on that idea...


Next, here are my Reavers, my favourite is the one with the awesome pose.




Now for the Warriors. I'm pretty sure I like the orangy-colour one. What do you think?

The warrior. Another with the blue sceme, though I definitely need to tone down the Shining Gold...

And the Haemy: (Actually a slightly converted Krieger 'Krash' Thrax model from the Inquisitor range (again!) Unfortunately, I forgot to take a WIP shot , and yes, that is a rat skull! )

The dreadfleet stuff looks great. On the dark eldar i'd suggest maybe watering down your paints and a good wash couldn't hurt either but for the most part good stuff.

Yes I agree- especially the blue stuff/special characters. Thanks! I'll try and have an update of a WIP warrior Sunday or tomorrow.

I am trying (once again) a new colour sceme for my DE, based on the Masterclass in the White Dwarf and the eyes painted glowing red with some OSL. Haven't done much yet, but it looks alright in the camera. Et voila:

UPDATE:
After realising that mixing 6:3:1 Rotting Flesh, Dark Angels Green/Enchanted Blue and Scorpion green was going to be abit unfeasable, I decided to order myself a bot of Kabalite Green. (Some Wyches and a Drybrush to! ) So whilst I'm waiting for that to arrive, I decided to give the OSL for the warriors eyes ago. Its not brilliant, but IMHO its not to bad either, especially for a first timer. Her she is!:

Another smallish Update:

Because I'm still waiting for the Sybarite Green and other stuff (damn extra Bank Holidays ) So in the mean time, I decided to get to work on some other stuff. For a start I did a small amout of Dreadfleeting, and cut out and asembled my Flaming Scimitar, and cut out and looked at longingly my Grimnir's Thunder. I didn't have time to photo the Thunder, but here's my Scmitar:


Also, I started some work on the flayed skin on the warrior's 'Codpiece'. I made ALOT of mistakes and I've barely done anything, but here she is:

Finally I started some work on a Pain Token. Inspired by the GW article after the first release AGES ago. The general concept is that one one point, you get the base and 'rune' and then subsequently you get a head (in the backdrop) on the spike per token. Here is the WIP:

Doesn't even have every thing on it now itsgrowing so fast! AGHHHHHHHH!

Another Quick Warrior Update:

So, having painted the guy almost to completion (atlast!) I thought I'd take a pic to show the (almost) finished thing. The lighting and focus is officialy shocking, but hey, here it is:

Come to think of it though, it does give quite a nice effect...

Thanks!!! I know what you mean about the paint jump! I started to use the WD Masterclasses to learn abit, then applied the techniques, et voila, my painting is now alright!

UPDATE: Its been a long time. I would imagine I haven't been missed. Either way, here is the finished warrior and WIP next one. I need to give the non-body parts an Incubi Darkness wash, then get to work on that centre gem thing (because as you can see at the minute it's a complete cock up (Colour ideas would be apreciated!)) and all the other flayed skin and bronzy gizmos. Anyway, hope you like!
