Looks ok. I'll take it that the Burnas and the Mek go in the Battlewagon and flame stuff, while the Gretchin camp objectives and the Deff Dread stomps forwards.

The one thing that I can definately see here is a lack of anti-tank. If you can take a Battlewagon, what's to stop your opponent taking a vehicle of their own. Especially if they're playing Guard. The only anti-tank you have at the minute is the Battlewagon. I'd drop the Deff Dread and maybe a few of the burnas and take either some Big Gunz or some Lootas. Leaving the Lootas to pop the transports and the Deffrolla to deal with some of the heavier stuff.

Burna's in battle wagons are great. I would definetely take some deffkopta's or rokkit buggies and take out the dread.
I would also split the gretchin into 2 squads.

Yesz drop the dread and get yourself some lootas or rokkit koptas, or even buggies. I am a little wary of your gretchin if you get in to combat with them they are sure to die quick, seeing as you only have one troop choice and theyh are gretchin. You need some boyz in there somewhere.

i agree with the other guys about dropping the dread for some anti armour.

only other criticism from my end is why Gretchin and not boys iv never seen any ork player even consider using them because of how weedy they are but i suppose in smaller games they can be a good choice because of their points cost.

I think the gretchin are there just for objective claiming and the rest of the army goes and smashes everythign else. Also, I think its also there as a troop choice. I guess it a one troop choice game their playing.,

Well how he is playing with his current setup its the gretchin and dread are his troop choice as a big mek allows that. But I don't feel at such a low point game you need to do that. The old addage (?) Boyz before toys is perfect for small point game like this.

So get rid of the dread and gretchin for boyz and deffkoptas?
The gretchin were to claim objectives FYI and I just recieved 30 boyz in the post and I have 16 deffkoptas so they aren'ta problem...

I would personally assemble them as slugga/choppa, though its a matter of opinion.

Even if you keep the dread or include it later on, I would not give it a skorcha.

I'd agree not to give the Dread a Skorcha and that whether you give boyz sluggas and choppas or shootas is a matter of opinion. But I honestly prefer the shootas. I put sluggas on 1st time around but then took a coping saw to them to be able to put shootas on them. Simply because those boyz are already good in close combat and by giving them an extra attack, yes their CC ability is benefitting but it is not benefitting as much as their shooting would were you to give them shootas.

Think about it, you are more likely to hit when firing 2 shots that need a 5+ then trying to hit with 1 that needs a 4+, additionally, the shoota is able to cancel out at least some armour saves whereas a choppa is not. 30 boyz in CC are going to be causing a whole load of damage in CC anyway regardless of that extra attack, but by giving them shootas you are on average going to be hitting 20 times with them at range, making them pretty good for torrent of fire as well.

As BaneGuard says though, it is very much a matter of opinion. I'd honestly take the time to weigh up the costs and benefits of each yourself before making a decision. But if you've already started gluing the choppas and sluggas on, it doesn't really matter.

EDIT: Also make sure to give that Nob from the boyz squad a PK.

At 600pts, i think plain ork horde is the best option... Few armies can be effective at such low pts (you can forget about SM or anything like it) and boyz, boyz, boyz kill all...

HQ: 85
Big mek w kff: 85

TROOPS: 510
22xboyz (nob, PK, bosspole): 172
22xboyz (nob, PK, bosspole): 172
21xboyz (nob, PK, bosspole): 168

TOTAL: 595

I think no imperial guard can counter it on 600pts.... And your boyz have 4+ cover save from shooting

I think that you must have a combination of powerklaws and burnas in transport

Mainly a LOTR SBG wargamer, still trying to create a worthy Tau force.
