I KNOW that I saw a box set for 10 Imperial Guard Leman Russ tanks on eBay all the time a few months ago, but now I can't even find anything on it at all. Imperial Guard Armoured Company? I really can't remember and it's making me sad =( I know it's out of production but anyone know where I could buy one? I've been hounding eBay but no luck.

I know IG had a box set recently of a 10 man squad + a tank, but Ive never heard of this box set you speak of.

I think he's referring to an old kit that was released when Apoc came out to promote one of the formations.

It was definitely 40k Apocaplypse box set, I know I'm not crazy. I know it. Trust me

Yes they were hella expensive, but I have a good job in a country that the only place to find English speaking people is 40k stores, so I wouldn't mind getting a jump on getting to play bigger games. Also gives me something to do after work.

I remember seeing one at my lfgs that was getting rid of all its warhammer merchandise, dont think its there anymore however.

Yeah it's like Big Foot or the Loch Ness monster, some people swear by having seen it but can't identify it completely. Others insist you mistaken it for something else haha

They weren't exactly cheap but they were actually very good deals. One was 15 Chaos Terminators and a Chaos Terminiator Lord for around $90, the price of a battleforce. A similar one was two Vindicators and a Land Speeder for that price. The 10 Leman Russes was $450 if I recall correctly, which was the same price as the Space Marine Batlte Company box. The Marine box came out to you basically getting the 10 Rhinos for free.

Aren't apoc games (that are run by the rules) on a different scale than 40k?

If I were you OP I'd just keep waiting till they show up on ebay again. They don't make those anymore. It was essentially made to push Apoc.

It was packed with the older style Russ just so you're aware. The Russ has been changed slightly and re-released since.

It was $400, not $450. $450 wouldn't have given you a saving at the time it was released.

When the "fist" first came out the price was@ $300. It came with a bunch of the command frames too.

Some ebay sellers do make bundles though with a slight saving depending on the size of it so it may be a better bet and allow you to get the newer kit rather than hope to find one of these old ones.

Yeah but I can get LRs here in Beijing for just under $50 USD (GW's price) so after $30 it isn't really worth the "savings" though I can't find Army Painter or a bitz place here, as 40k is still picking up here. I shouldn't really blow all that money on 40k anyways haha bits and pieces, not 1500-2000 points in tanks at once =P

To be fair there's nothing special about this box; it's just 10 of the bog standard Leman Russ kits, maybe with a command frame which you can get separate from GW anyway. You'd be better off just buying 10 from the Warstore and saving 20% there while getting heaps of options and bits in the kit.

Once again, shipping costs will negate the savings as warstore's international shipping is overpriced (unlike their US shipping prices) =( and even if it does save me some money waiting 3 weeks for it will cause more sorrow than the money saved is worth haha plus if that's the case I might just invest in an air cav instead thanks again though
