I would like to get a group started around me. Does anyone know how to run a good escalation campaign?

Man, I love campaigns. But yeah, there are two problems -- I live in Sweden and I'm currently busy anyway for the next 3 - 4 weeks.

Good luck though.

Does anyone know a good system? EG. I played in a 40 k campaign where they started with 1 troop for 200 points, next month 400 points add an HQ, then 600 add another troop, then add an elite at 800, a fast at 1000 and a heavy for 1200.
It was great!

What can fantasy do that would be just as good?

Google the Warbands rules.

These allow you to start playing small games, are narrative based, and would allow you build your armies as you play through wahtever scenarios you develop.

It basically the same thing as you are talking about int he 40k game, but offers something more than simply adding points.
