Do they have their own quarters separate from all other marines? Or is it all mixed in?
Also, what do their living quarters look like? Like small single person bedrooms with a bed, or large rooms with lots of beds?
thanks in advance,
John.

They might have the same quarters as aspirants which is basically a large room with bunk beds...although i'm not sure about this

I think the movie Ultramarines briefly reveals the berthing quarters of the Ultramarines however I may be wrong.
From what I remember they were all together and not in separate rooms. This was a brief glimpse. I assume they showed the regular tactical Marine berthing as opposed to specialized units or high ranking officers.
However, its likely that higher ranking Marines have private quarters. Just like any modern day military I would assume. Why would a Chapter Master, Capt. Lt. etc... bunk down with the regular grunts? It makes things complicated and could make the "regulars" on edge and not relaxed. And frat makes things complicated.

I got the impression from many books that Space Marines have private separate "cells", monk or nun style, that they can retire to and pray and all that.
Each Space Marine is more like a Knight of old rather than a modern foot soldier so I always imagine them to have their quarters and a number of serf attendants.

As ever depends on the Chapter and how they view the Scouts, themselves - many will be simple spartan living quarters - often on their own - especially in Chapters like the Salamanders where there may only be very few surivivng Scouts.

I agree it will depend on the chapter. I can imagine Black templar neophytes sharing quarters with their initiate master, while Space wolf bloodclaws would probably sleep in one communal room.

The exorcists would probably have them all in large groups to save space. They have two extra scout companies don't they?

I bet the Mentor's chapter has each brother with a full library in their quarters. Thousand sons probably had similar before the fall

Entirely depends on the chapter.
Most common would probably be communal living quarters. Battle Brothers and Scouts would be kept seperated. The Scouts would have their own room that they would share with their sergeant.

SM ships are so enormous and the number of Astartes in them so small I imagine each can have their own little room fairly easily. Crew serfs and what have you are probably stacked on top of each other though.

In the horus heresy, the space marines had their own personal cells.
In Sons of Dorn, IIRC, the scouts all had a shared room with lots of beds.

Well in my experience as being a us marine on navy vessels probably huge squadbays for the lower level astartes. With beds 3 high, and a storage room for their gear. As for the sgts and captains they probably have 1 man rooms, or up to 4man rooms
