I just bought some DEs from a friend, since I was painting orks before that, I'll need to update my paint collection.

I was wondering if the washes were still existing with the new paints. I've checked on the gw website, found the glaze, but I only found 4 possible glaze (and nothign like what I'm searching) Are the washes still existing, just hidden on their website?

Also, I've heard bad comments about the glaze, so wondering if anyone have tried them and what are the results.

Thanks

I tried out two of the four glazes. They're pretty good for brightening up the colors from their more flat dull color.

And the washes do exist, now they're called 'Shades"

Good luck

Seeing a squad of veterens swoop in in a Vendetta, secure the area, deliver that math assignment, and extract within 2 minutes would be freaking sweet.

Do the shade gives the same results as the washes?? Or GW mostly jsut changed the names (because it's gw, lol)

Reviews I've read mention that the shades are actually better than the old washes...less pooling on flat surfaces. Have yet to try them out myself. I've read mixed reviews about the other new stuff.

From the limited paint I've tried in their new range, I gotta say the new bases are amazing, most notably the white and red. they cover REALLY well with 1, at most 2 thin layers. Also the it doesn't seperate in the bottle like the old foundations

The new shades work better then the old washed imo. the get into crevices a lot better, and as repsOI said it pools less. the dry paints i could see be useful, since the drybrushing you get from it stays pretty consistent, but i don't think i'll be picking any up since I'm fine with drybrushing normally if I have to.

I think the texture paint is the most useless thing I've ever seen, since you get a lot better results with sand and glue for 100x cheaper in price.

Other than those the regular paints are the same GW quality, just with a better range,, and the glazes I haven't yet tried.

Your welcome!

While some of the paints are really easy to use, I keep trying to paint on yellow and it ends up like mustard yellow-green.

Though with over 20 green layers, can't see what could go wrong.
