He's not advising "fleeing law enforcement".

In case you haven't followed this particular piece, Zimmerman has had multiple death threats, a bounty put on his head by the Black Panthers, and quite a bit more fun. Spike Lee tweeted what he had found was "Zimmerman's address" (in reality the address of a couple with no relationship whatsoever to Zimmerman) and encouraged people to protest there--alongside of giving out the phone number of the people who resided there.

Zimmerman has, according to his own lawyers, been in contact with the prosecution--without their knowledge in fact. All we know at this point is that Zimmerman has left the state and has been in contact with the prosecution, but not his own defense attorneys.

No. You need to have foiled an attempt to apprehend you by a person authorized to do so in order to flee the law. It doesn't seem that Zimmerman did this -- if he simply left FL/the USA while the prosecutors prevaricated over how explosive the coverage would get.

It's important to realize that only the media is reporting that charges are to be filed at the moment, citing an "anonymous law enforcement official".
A statement is supposedly to be made at 1800 GMT(6pm EST).

Fortunetly for alot of people we in the Uk get a rather good education, U.S.A history is part of the history and politics education program under many systems.

One of the key areas of teaching involves the race relations in the US and how certain areas in which juries are collected from have a social bias. One does not need to be there to learn from events.

As to the point, a trial/inquest is needed not because of public outcry or media coverage but because of the fact that a previously law abiding unarmed citezen was killed under irregular circumstanses. Anyone who oposes this is blinded by a prejudice of some sort.

The poster's ignorance is reflected in his lack of knowledge of who exactly lives in California, in New York, and the South. If you're going to be a foreigner making statements, one should be especially educated and not utterly ignorant. Is he going to be convicted with a jury from East LA? From the Inland Empire? From New York?

I expect to be banned shortly, but I am sick to death of people slamming the South for being racist, of personally having that innuendo thrown at me, but being ignorant about who even the parties were.

The poster does know Zimmerman's mom is Puerto Rican right? Guess what major population lives in New York and Southern California?

Frankly if his name wasn't Zimmernan but Arriaga it wouldn't never been anything but a local story.

I'm getting pretty sick of this, too. The American South is a pretty complex phenomenon, even at the abstract level of talking about "the South."
