PanOceanic is not known for it's hackers but they do have a few good ones. They really need them to defend their many TAGs.

Light/Medium The one that stands out here is the Kamau with his -6 BTS! he's also a good price. The Regular is only a point more than the Fusiler but has 1 pt. higher WIP and a Deployable repeater. This is offset by being 1 SWC.

Unfortunately Ariadna has NO hackers other than a few mercenaries. Those you can only take if you play a Caledonian or Metro Sectoral army.

On the flip side Ariadna has virtually nothing that can BE hacked.

The stats that work with hacking are WIP and BTS. A high WIP is great. A negative on the BTS is also good (don't ask me why it's a negative, I think it's because it affects the other guy). It modifies your dice roll when say attacking another hacker.

WIP13 hacker with BTS -3
vs.
WIP 15 BTS0

Face to face roll with with WIP

WIP 15 Rolls 13 -3 for the other guys BTS = 10
WIP 13 Rolls 12

So the WIP 13 wins and WIP 15 goes unconscious.

The attribute Biotechnological Shield Provides a figure with protection against NBCH (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) damage as well as Nanotechnologic, Electromagnetic, and Hacking attacks.

This modifies the Armor save. So a Strength 13 Viral Rifle is now 10 against BTS-3

The negative on BTS is a hold over from the game's roots when the only thing the BTS effect was a model trying to hack it. So a -3 BTS meant you force a -3 on the person tryingto hack you. Since then there is a lot more things that use the BTS stat.
