Hi All

Need clarification on how the PoM Deliverers CRA work.

1. I declare to do a Rocket Volley CRA with Deliverers = Range/POW becomes 16 with a 5" AOE

2. I state which target I want to hit, I use the RAT of anyone of the units as they are the same - the inaccurate rule? RAT 5 - inaccurate = RAT 1? that would mean very high chance of missing!

Please someone clear this up for me!

If the unit is 6+ strong, yes.

2. I state which target I want to hit, I use the RAT of anyone of the units as they are the same - the inaccurate rule? RAT 5 - inaccurate = RAT 1? that would mean very high chance of missing!

Yes. High chance of missing, but you'll still have an AOE scatter.

EDIT: should note that I'm gathering these answers from what I can gather from BattleCollege. Someone else should confirm this.

Thanks for the info Jin, waaaahh I was about to buy a set and use my vigilant to cover them! Guess there goes that plan considering the miss rate is pretty high, probably go for some sunburst crew instead!

No no no, you ALSO get attack bonus because it says to
make it a CRA but not to add a damage bonus.

So 6 Deliverers = RAT 5-4+6 = RAT 7. RAT 9 if you aim.

Deliverers card says Make a Combined Ranged attack for
rocket volley, Mk2 book references what a combined ranged
attack is.

Remember also that everyone on the attack must have range to participate in the CRA.

Line of Sight is required for each participant as well; this is often more difficult than range to achieve with Deliverers.

Fun side note: pKreoss' feat makes it a field day for Deliverers, as knocked down models aren't exactly difficult to hit, even at RAT1.

Yeah a mate of mine found that out when I dumped a combined attack on his warcasters head after I'd popped pKreoss' feat, sadly didn't do enough wounds to kill him (did about 2/3rds) but the attack did take out the jack protecting him letting me finish him off the next turn with another shot from the Deliverers.

I was uncertain about them before that game, I now like them rather a lot.

I've finally put an order through just waiting for it to arrive from the UK. I'm still debating either to use these guys vs Sunburst crew.

Point wise, Sunburst crew comes at 3 points (lose some mobility) and delivers start off at 5 points to a max of 8 points. All these units also need LOS to be able to hit the target, eg might be harder to get 6 units to LOS one target while with Sunburst crew you only need LOS from the Ballista. I could fill that 5 points with an extra Repenter/Sunburst crew.

I prefer the Delivers by far.. Take a full unit, give them cont. Fire, and light some stuff up.

Mobility is a huge thing, then again, Keross for knockdown is best with these.

The covenant only grants continuous fire on direct hits.
