In your first list I@d protect your bsb better than a 5+/6++ in combat, go for something like armour of destiny for a 4+/3++ in combat. BSB's are more important than your general in 8th.

Wait is adepticon comped? That would alter any advice given!

The bsb cowers with the general in a bunker unit at the back to avoid running at the enemy with animosity.

The armies would be very different if I had the right models. But it can be a tough nut to crack.
