Incursion=Space Hulk in a alternative WW2 setting.
Nazi's, Zombies, and Werewolves oh my! What's not to like?
The heavy duty board that comes with the game is a beautifully illustrated. Still, inspired by examples I found on the internet, I decided to make my own 3D version.
I use a 2'x2' hardboard for the base, and applied 4 self-adhesive 12" x 12" linoleum floor tiles on top. These linoleum tiles cost less than a buck each, and come with a nice simulated stone surface texture.
I used a pencil and a ruler to draw a 1.5" grid on the tiles. I then sawed out squares from a 2" thick blue insulation board with a kitchen knife ( Yes, it's that easy to cut!) to match the wall section layout on the original map board. Using a kitchen knife to cut also creates great rough textures to simulate hastily cut stone.
My next step will be to prime the foam wall sections with a water based paint. Then paint the walls and add bits of pipe, wall posters, and other items.
Looks like someone is on the hunt for
braiiiins!

Heroscape game with a gas mask head conversion.
