What do you think of this: HQ: Captain, termie armor, twin claws Libby, termie armor Troops: Tactical squad, plasma pistol PW srgt, plasma gun, ML, drop-pod Tactical squad, PF teleporter homer srgt, melta gun, ML, rhino Scout squad (x5), sniper rifles, camo cloacks, teleporter homer Elites: Assault termies, 3 hammers, 2 claws (captain attached) Termies (x5, cyclone launcher (libby attached) Sternguards (x8), LC srgt, all bolters, 4 combi-flamers, 4 combi-meltas Fast Attack: Land-Speeder, MM, HF Land-Speeder, Typhoon launcher, HB Heavy Support: Devastator squad (x5), 3MLs, 1LC, drop-pod Total: 2000pts The idea would be to deploy scouts in a ruin closer to the enemy, pod the sterns and tactical squad near them for 1st turn support while enabling the termies and Land Speeders to deep strike without scattering on future rounds. the devastators and rhino would probably camp on home objective. It seems like it could get overwhelmed easily and that you still run the issue of sitting a whole turn not moving... Any thoughts? Anybody use a deep-striking vanilla army successfully? (I don't wanna use pods) I love termies as small elite squads but I don't necessarily wanna go Deathwing route, I'm just looking for a way to deliver them into the heart of the enemy quickly, I feel like Land Raiders get popped quickly nowadays while being a big point-sink. Wouldn't mind getting my hands on an assault ram or Storm Eagle! Automatically Appended Next Post: Anybody care to give their 2 cents?
